I have enormous respect for Consortium News and Pepe Escobar. But the opposition between “professors” and “idiots” (about 20 minutes into the interview with Pepe) is self-indulgent and even harmful. It reminds me of Hillary Clinton’s notorious “deplorables” comment. Lots to learn here but please try to avoid this binary discourse. It can be used against left populism as well as the reactionary Trumpian kind.
