Godspeed Mr. Parry. I am sorry I can’t be there to honor your dedication to the truth. In you, the media lost one of their very best.
From the Netherlands, my thoughts will be with this Memorial.
May you rest in peace, Robert Parry.
And may your great and inspiring work live on
Wish I could make it. Robert was a great man, and a real American hero. RIP Robert, your speaking truth made a difference, and CN lives on.
Our hearts will be with you.
I would be there, if I could, to pay my respects to an American hero.
Please explore ways to share the proceedings with those who cannot make it.
Thank you.
From Canada: Robert Parry’s site is still my number one source for accurate stuff we are “protected” from seeing by the criminally complicit MSM. RIP Robert
damn we need more like him.
You have honored us with your gracious invitation.
I cannot attend the memorial service for Robert Parry, but he will live on in my thoughts and those of many thousands. He is now part of the strength of our essential alternative journalism, part of the universal mind of humanity.
Robert Parry, journalist on the exalted level of I. F. Stone. Corporate media is the metastatic ill facing freedom of speech and press, democracy itself. Robert Parry proved part of the cure. Would that those coming up through the ranks choose his path, the honorable path and, more reasonably, the sole path for a political culture concerned about its health.
Robert Parry remains a great inspiration for me. His has been a life well lived and his work has given me a deep understanding of how politics works. Perhaps someday I may find the courage to add to the discourse he has created. I wish his family courage and strength in this difficult time.
What Kay, Kiwi, and Alka say goes for me, too. I wish I could attend these D.C. area events, with this not so much an event as a commemoration of a lifetime of hard work.
That is a fitting, and touching addition to the masthead.
It would be great if this were video taped so those of us who can’t make it 3,000 miles for the service can be part of it too.
Many of us live hundreds of thousands of miles away, and loved Bob just as much.
Wishing the Parry family, friends and colleagues peace and love through loss so huge.
Sure miss Bob’s writing…
My thoughts exactly? Mr Parry’s many fans would have loved to be at his memorial service to honour this great man but due to the tyranny of distance, can’t attend this? Any chance of this service being Podcast or put on YouTube as Mr Parry had many fans around the World who loved & respected his work? My condolences to the Parry family, Bob was a courageous man, a hero to those seeking the truth & exposing corrupt Govts & their nefarious deeds?
Agree
If you’re near the SF Bay Area, there will be a tribute to Robert Parry on May 19 in Berkeley, California.
