It would be shorter to compile a list of areas in ‘the west’ where the CIA is not calling the shots, than to compile the lengthy list of where they are. All in the name of Democracy and Freedom of course, with targeted assassinations and detention for all.

I’m sorry, but asking a nation that has never rebelled against its masters to do so now is rather unlikely to succeed. I wish it would succeed. Personally, I think Julian deserves the world’s highest medal of freedom. But given the subservient nature of Australia, they will not rebel against their masters. They still sing God Save the King and rush to go die in foreign wars while proclaiming it an honour to go die. These people will not rebel.

I could not hold my tears of anger and frustration!, to see this gross and cruel injustice under our own eyes, but also my tears of hope,

If I remember correctly, after WW 2 the Americans did everything possible to bring Nazis to America – Operation Paper Clip? Yet a journalist, whose only ‘crime’ is, to reveal something the Yanx would rather ‘deep six’, is destined to rot in jail. And so much of the Western world…the silence if deafening. So much for American values.
I hate to say it but I think the reason he is not being released is the CIA is calling the shots. The way he is being treated has their finger prints all over it. Politicians are very shy about challenging their gruesome handy work.

Whenever I add the odd comment after Julian Assange stories on Consortium News, I always want to shout and scream at all those responsible for his incarceration. What good would that do?
