Thank you Joe for speaking on RT and Sputnik News. You and the CN staff are carrying the Torch of Light for the few Truth Seekers among the many MSM faithful followers. George Galloway is also sharp and very informed on what he speaks about as well as Mark Sleboda, who was one of the “original regulars on RT’s CrossTalk” program with Peter Lavelle. We miss listening to Mark when he was on CrossTalk, as his knowledge and insight on the subjects being discussed were excellent.
On today’s “Letters and Politics” program (March 21, 2022) on kpfa.org, Mitch Jesserich interviewed Professor Richard D. Wolff on the situation in Ukraine, the sanctions on Russia, threats to China if it supports Russia, and the economic problems the EU nations will have as a side effect of sanctions. This censorship is based on fear of losing, but there are progressive outlets that, to quote Russell Brand, keep popping up turning this into a huge game of whack a mole. The reality of our situation is simply that life in this country is becoming exponentially more difficult with each passing day which can not be hidden or denied and eventually our politicians and leaders will be blamed as they should. No amount of censorship can hide this much longer and the huge question is how far will they go to repress this reality, it is going to be a very frightening experience but there is no stopping the change that is just starting. The establishment is losing.

Chances are there is no NATO left win or lose.
Are the Ukrainian people willing to die and sacrifice their lives and country for the devastation of the continent just to become a member of a demolished NATO and a continent in ruins?
Other than the war profiteers everyone else is a loser including the American people.
Why do the Americans want the Ukrainians to fight and die until there is nothing but UNCONDITIONAL surrender for them? We do know the answer too.
I’ve heard Joe Lauria speak many times. I’ve never heard him speak with such passion. Urgency is there as well as concern. He seemed so eager his words seemed not to get out of his mouth fast enough. As a school teacher I told my sophomores that today’s electronic communication has a serious blind spot and I referenced president Eisenhower’s farewell speak about the military industrial complex. Namely, it’s important what’s said but equally important how it’s said. I told them that the current difficulty in Ukraine was the fault of a coup in Kiev at the fault of the American CIA. I’m not sure I got through to them, such is the power of main stream media and the cell phone society they trained themselves for. In addition, I find in my social network people rabidly against Mr. Putin for an attack they know nothing about. My writing to the ‘letters to the editor’ of my local paper has either been unpublished or subject to scorn by other writers. My wish is that the US/NATO is forced to experience the taste crow and come to a modicum 0f sense and deal with the Russians honestly.
WOW, as a teacher, are you not concerned your students will pass on what you are telling them and when that information gets to anti Russian ears, they’ll be coming for you ??????? Be careful.
For some a world where Freedom of Speech is banned, that world has lost its right of existence, so has its people. We Dutch believed that was what being liberated from the German Occupation meant. Not to have that occupation changed into a Totalitarian state where speaking out, reading certain books gets you arrested or murdered, or your career totally destroyed. And Fear. Well that is an emotion that can be worked with. transcended. It is at least honest. Double messaging can totally destroy the psyche. Isolation, neglect, not belonging to the people you live with all detrimental.
Well, Eisenhower spoke from a teleprompter, he had as much time as he needed and he was from Texas. Joe spoke to Galloway off the top of his head, had only 15 minutes, and is from New York City.
You really got it across, Joe. So much at stake, so very, very much, and to watch our republic and civilization brought to this by the most lowdown and repugnant of cabals holding forth in their secrecy is nothing short of tragic. I’m not optimistic, I’m searching my old memories for some kind of faith in humanity’s better nature to sustain me at this point. The psychosis is so strong in so many, and to the point of apparent hypnosis. Thanks for being one still standing, and of course the same to so many of CN’s regular contributors.

George is going to have a chat on MOATS tomorrow with Gonzalo Lira, the Chilean expatriate who’s been in Ukraine for the past 10 years and has been doing some crackerjack reporting and opining in a clear voice as to his perspective on matters.
