Julian Assange, WikiLeaks publisher, has been imprisoned in Belmarsh Prison in London for 33 months awaiting a decision on his extradition to the United States where he is wanted for publishing evidence of U.S. state crimes. Chelsea Manning was a U.S. Army intelligence analyst who was courtmartialed and imprisoned for seven years for leaking evidence of U.S. war crimes to WikiLeaks. Aaron Swartz, was a child prodigy computer programmer, and the brains behind Reddit, the RSS feed and Creative Commons. When he sought to make academic papers behind a paywall free to the public he was pursued by the government, leading to his suicide in 2013.

Thank you for this song. I hope that it inspires other poets and musicians to fire up their creative engines and add their voices to the growing crowd that is surging against the criminal Cabal, and their puppets. The sixties and seventies produced the best music of a generation because the artists were united in a common cause (to stop the war). We have a cause now that is even more urgent than that was, but where is the voice of the people who are trying to fight for Truth? God bless Cathy Vogan!

I love your optimism, that it is TIME. Right now the ones who can change things, could make a difference, don’t really give a damn, protected as they are in Washington, so far from the likely battlegrounds of Europe and the Pacific.
Remember, the PNAC neocons didn’t die off. They are older but still alive and planning yet another war in the halls of power.
Remember also when war got a lot closer to mainland USA…the 1962 Cuban Missile crisis? Yes, it was a long time ago. If you are 80 years old though, you don’t forget.
But decisions were made promptly in those days because that was real and Cuba was very close to the USA. Just across the water from Florida.
Not today though. The American people are safe from actions against the USA. They are not surrounded by US and NATO bases like they are in Russia.

I completely forgot nuclear powered (and armed) submarines and all the other sophisticated weapons in 2022. Think on that one, Biden and Blinken and while you are at it, please don’t ignore ‘mad dog’ Israel, bristling with hundreds of nuclear warheads and targets all around the globe such as Iran, Syria, Saudi, Lebanon, Egypt and on…..and on.
