Dean Yates asks journos to, “Ask yourself: Why is the Collateral Murder tape NOT part of the U.S. indictment? Why is a tape that made Julian and WikiLeaks a household name not part of the indictment. Because it showed the world what the war in Iraq really looked like.” It also shows that the prosecution wants to separate the inseparable. They have included the leaking of the “rules of engagement” in the indictment but not the video that gives it context. The video shows the criminal interpretation of these “rules of engagement” which was all too common in Iraq.

Shameful that Lady Judge Emma Arbuthnot has not recused herself despite her obvious conflict of interest. Unbelievable!!! And the “technical problems” still continue. What a shambles of a show trial!!!

All over the Australian news today: we’re saving our journalists from CHAYNA (Trump accent)… without admitting we’re burning journalists who do the same thing to USA (without actually being on USA soil)

This Greg Barns article makes for a good letter writing resource to make demands of Aussie politicians. see: asia.nikkei.com/Opinion/Why-Julian-Assange-must-go-free?fbclid=IwAR1t4PDBfIz48i9mPpZ35pdWVBtL9HDm1H_yr8v3pv8m9w_IFbu0GjH_9x8

Thanks Joe Lauria, very clear and listenable summary of Day 1. Between your and Mary Kostakidis’ ’ journalistic skills we are being as well informed as possible on this strange trial.
