And as always evil aka ethical bankruptcy triumphs because “good” men/women remain wilfully silent+ignorant+indifferent. That includes the populace – ordinary people aka the sheeple. The same gullible mob-like majority who cluelessly but predictably and on cue began ridiculing Assange for being an “arrogant prig” etc when our appallingly compliant media collectively turned up the character-assassination rhetoric and smear campaign just before he was taken to Belmarsh.

Julian’s life is our life. If we want to live in a transparent world of truth we must fight for Julian’s FREEDOM.
His freedom is our freedom. Bring him home NOW.

I can’t thank you enough Joe Lauria Jill and Consortiumnews. I’m proud to say that Jill Stein my presidential candidate and happy to see all of you joining to fight this important fight for press freedom. It is beginning to feel more isolated out here day by day and CN offers some hope…
In that light, I’m making my first donation for this year. Many Thanks!

After the dismissal of the DNC L0l-suit the non*CANDID*ates other than Tulsi Gabbard had anything of real interest to say about what Jill Stein brought home.

Thank You Jill & CN & ALL OF YOU!

Wow, America has its offshore torture chamber, Guantanamo. But the UK, oh England, you keep your torture system right there in plain sight—and allow no one to see Assange. I guess it’s easier to disappear someone that way.

World Wide Socialist Web reports that Assange continues to be heavily sedated and there can be little doubt that he is being chemically tortured.

    See: wsws.org/en/articles/2019/12/28/assa-d28.html.

I fear that there’s a good chance that he is going to become a victim of MK-ULTRA.

With regard to the fracture of one of his teeth as a result of eating prison food, it should be pointed out that In A Journal of the Plague Years, Daniel Defoe reports that prior to the bubonic plague, tooth infection was the most common cause of death in the middle ages.

Medical abuse and neglect in U.S. prisons has reached epidemic proportions. Just ask Mumia Abul Jamal or Leonard Peltier.

Good Interview. On the subject of the lies we are saturated with these days, I think that it is worth remembering that Obama removed the ban against U.S. government propaganda against the American public. There was probably some specific purpose behind this removal, but no one has revealed what it was.

I’m sick of watching the people living on their knees I’m sick of hearing the sordid details of our criminal government’s policies I’m sick of the lack of love and care that is imposing on our world and its people I’m literally sick of the sickness that rules us. It’s obvious now that this sinking stinking ship needs to go down and all those who built and steered this monster may they all be on it and enjoy the ride to the bottom no one escapes unscathed the elites will be screaming all the way to hell as we live it they will inherit it . It’s so fucked for julian but I keep him in my thoughts to remind me to always speak out and don’t be scared of the cowardly pain inflicting power misfits controlling us

I think that Jill Stein ought either to join Tulsi Gabbard’s slander lawsuit aginst Hillary Clinton or initiate one of her own if that works better for her! She was definitely slandered at least as much as was Gabbard by preposterous claims that she was a secret “agent of Russia” in gneral and Vladimir Putin in particular.

Money is power. Control of the money, its origination and distribution, is absolute power. “The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the banks.“
Money is the mechanism that gives the oligarchy power. If you control the money you can control governments, public policy, media/elections, every industry, schools and media etc. We cannot fix ANY public policy disaster, such as freedom of information/Assange etc., without public control of the money system. We have a private for-profit money system that issues money as debt, which is usury and “…an extraordinarily efficient form of violence where one does the most damage with the least effort.” We tend to rush in to address the damage being done without addressing that which is behind it all, the power expressed through the application of what we use for money.(credit) Thank you for helping people see the assault on people and planet but we cannot have any political democracy until we have economic democracy whose sheathed sword is publicly issued money. Any government that does not control the money is controlled by those who do. As Jill once said, “it is not OUR government, it is THEIR government.” and that is what we need to change. 10 centuries before Christ the Greeks recognized that the vital prerogative of democratic governance was to originate all the money for public purpose as its first use.

A fantastic interview! I wanted to have an impression at a glance, but couldn’t stop watching.
One must hope and believe Jill Stein is right about people in general and the Australians in particular right now, regarding Assange.
      Sweden got its due!

It should be clear by today that Washington doesn’t recognize it’s own Constitution or ANY LAWS whether domestic or internationsl. USA is ruled by barbarism, criminals & proves again to live under the primitive law of the ‘Wild, Wild West’ controlling its citizens by GUNS or as the famous writer Oscar Wilde said: “Americais the ONLY country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilisation in between” Where else in the world do we find a ” School of the Americas” (also called School of Dictators) in Fort Bunning, Georgia that “recruit & control informants counterintelligence agents could use fear, payment of bounties for enemy dead, beatings, false imprisonment, executions & the use of truth serum?” Recruiting EACH YEAR 2000 students with more than 60.000 graduates since the school opened in 1960 & responsible for training ” the most repressive tyrants in Latin America by murdering especially women & children, assassinations, death by torture & disappearances!

On Julian Assange’s court hearing today, Thursday 23, in London:

“The First Amendment covers everyone. . . . The First Amendment also covers non-citizens such as Assange.”

We learned in 2016 that our Intelligence Agencies will just make up facts to constrain a President: Matt Taibbi “We’re in a Permanent Coup”.
Most likely the NSA, FBI, CIA will put some documents together claiming Assange was engaged in Espionage for Russia with wikileaks. They live by the precept shared by our politicians that “the end justifies the means”. Guilt and innocence and laws don’t enter into their actions.
