WikiLeaks editor Kristin Hrafnsson and other guests discussed the next steps forward at the U.K. Supreme Court.
On Monday the High Court of England and Wales said it had certified a point of law for imprisoned WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange to ask the U.K. Supreme Court to decide on appeal.
The High Court decision came after Assange raised three points of law of general public importance that have an impact on the procedural and human rights safeguards of a wide range of other types of cases. It is still up to the Supreme Court to decide whether it will review the case.
We will hear responses today from Stella Moris, Julian Assange’s partner and Kristinn Hrafnsson, the WikiLeaks editor-in-chief. Moderated by film-maker Suzie Gilbert and produced by Don’t Extradite Assange.
The answer to Kristinn Hrafnsson’s questions about WHY the Biden administration is continuing the persecution of Assange and still seeking to extradite him just as the Trump administration did under the constant prodding of Mike Pompeo, and WHY more Dems than Reps support Julian’s extradition is, I believe, that the establishment machine — some would say “mafia” — of the Dem party which controls the DNC, and which is largely still controlled in turn by Hillary Clinton and her adjutants, are still FURIOUS about the Wikileaks publication of their largely criminally unsecured emails, which to this day they believe were “hacked” by Russian intelligence agents and provided to Assange to aid the Trump campaign against Hilary, and this even though there is now hard evidence that in fact the DNC emails were not hacked at all, but rather LEAKED onto a thumb drive at the DNC headquarters — many believe by the subsequently murdered, Seth Rich — and hand delivered to Assange in London.
Obviously this Dem party leadership retains great influence over the new Biden administration and, indeed, has repeatedly voiced its opposition to Biden’s possibly dropping the extradition request for Assange. Thus, at least in my opinion, it is indeed the entrenched Dem party leadership around Hillary Clinton, and not, say, some group of “betrayed” feeling intelligence agency operatives or “embarrassed” military higher-ups, who are the primary force behind the Biden administration’s egregiously unjust, and also politically risky, decision to continue to pursue Assange.
