Never forget: Guterres received his post from the hands of the United States. He’s there to demonstrate the futility of protest and the impotence of the institution he heads.
What use is the UN if its members won’t face facts and acknowledge what is actually, and demonstrably, happening? And when they refuse to even consider the validity of different viewpoints and perspectives.
At this point, it’s comical how Western countries continue to frame Israel as the victim, Iran as the aggressor, and insist on using passive voice if even mentioning civilians killed by Israel at all. They are dragging their reputations through the trash in subordination for the inexcusable and odious.
