For sometime now, we have been celebrating “Epiphany” January 6th. Allowing Christmas to indeed be a feast day, a celebration of Christ’s. birth and doing away with all of the commercialization of Dec. 25th . Highly recommend it !

I strongly agree with Jana. This is Christmas. CHRISTMAS is the singular reason everyone is entitled to have a ‘happy holiday’ at this time.

Our society must not fall prey to appeasing those of no faith or a different faith. Other world faiths aren’t giving up their special days and periods. Nor should we. ALL can and should be celebrated.

The excellent CN must avoid pushing this ‘happy holidays’ greeting.

But there is more one than one holiday this time of year. Putting Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa wouldn’t fit into a headline.

Thank you for your exceptionally thorough and insightful reporting inspite of a high level of opposition rife with corruption. I will be sending a donation after the holidays. Wish it could be more and more often. Much appreciation from a retired san francisco grandmother on a budget. Kay

Hanukkah runs from Dec .25 through Jan. 2 and Kwanzaa from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1. Not some other time.
