With several Mideast wars threatening to ignite the whole region; Ukraine in its most dangerous phase yet, and Consortium News fighting its own battles to continue, CN urges your support at this turbulent time.

The crises that plague the world, whose links threaten to deepen into a global conflict, cry out for journalism devoid of national bias to present a detached view of the unfolding madness.
This is what Consortium News endeavors to do. Two camps have emerged that are engaged in indirect and increasingly direct armed conflict: NATO, Ukraine and Israel on one side, and Russia, Iran and Syria on the other.
The two escalating wars in Ukraine and Russia on the one hand; and Palestine, Lebanon, Israel and Syria on the other, are slowly joining into one major war: The U.S. is firing its own missiles from Ukrainian territory into Russia (risking nuclear confrontation), while Washington is bombing targets and backing jihadists in Syria (aided by Ukraine) against Russian, Iranian-backed and Syrian forces.
Iran has offered to send its own troops into battle in Syria, while Israel, in the midst of its genocide in Gaza, continues to egg the U.S. on to join a direct attack on Iran. Russia stands in the background as possible defense for Teheran. Direct U.S.-Russia conflict is now possible in Ukraine, Syria and Iran.
Meanwhile, the U.S.-backed camp in Asia and the Pacific arrays itself against China and its ally Russia.
To make sense of this increasing danger to all peoples an independent news and analysis publication like Consortium News is needed now more than ever, one that does not take the narrow view of national medias, including that of the U.S. We have loyalty to no one and no thing, except the difficult effort to get at the truth.
