Keeping Consortium News Free

The extraordinary generosity of some of our readers has allowed Consortium News to remain free for all to read, the same policy our founder Bob Parry adopted in 1995.

Over nearly three decades, Consortium News has created a community of readers, viewers and supporters that is a model nations should follow.

Those who can support our operations are making it possible for those who can’t to still benefit from what CN has to offer in news, analysis and commentary.

It’s analogous to the prosperous in society helping the less fortunate. In other words, “From each according to one’s ability, to each according to one’s needs.”  While that may forever remain a pipe dream for society, it is reality here.

It’s how Consortium News works. So we sincerely thank those who are able to continue donating, and thank everyone for their interest in this ongoing project that is about to enter its 29th year.

To everyone: Happy Holidays. To those who can contribute in the holiday spirit:

Please DONATE to CNS Winter Fund Drive

For a moment I thought that Consortium will be news-free from now on, I am very happy that this is not the case. Happy Holidays!

If you believe in what Consortium News does and you could have contributed something but didn’t and it goes under, then in my personal opinion you lose your right to complain about anything going on in the world.

Yikes! Robert, that’s a tough nut to crack.

How is an Independent “Online” Newspaper” whose heart & soul rocks, “Those who can support our operations are making it possible for those who can’t to still benefit from what CN has to offer in news, analysis and commentary,” to police the “he/she coulda, shoulda, woulda;” and, didn’t! Consequently, 29 YEARS later, it’s “lights out” @ Consortium News!!!”

Imo, ‘IF” CN goes under,” It’s b/c the USG steps in & shutters it for being an independent newspaper w/a colossal following! Imo, once again, the USG gettin’ their freak-on, i.e., deciding what “independent papers” thrive, who dies, who’s a foreign &/or domestic “agent,” etc., etc., etc., Granted, the USG’s got the re$ources. Years ago, they created a Dept., for “Countering Foreign Propaganda & Disinformation” nka the Global Engagement Center. Everybody’s being surveilled. Therefore, independent businesses, journalists, newspapers must be protected & supported. Consequently, they have on board, an accountant, an attorney, & a psychiatrist; and, their services are not always free; but, “Keeping Consortium News, Free,” is exactly Robert Parry’s legacy.

…………….CN + the Readership = 29 YEARS. Imo, each knows what makes the other rock!

“Great people have big hearts.” As well, “generosity has no regrets.” L O N G Live, Consortium News!!!

It’s December 23, 2023, “another year, almost, over.” Everybody’s “Gettin’ Ready for the Power & the Glory of the Story of Xmas Day,” i.e., “From early in November to the last week of December I got money matters weighing me down. Oh the music may be merry, but it’s only temporary. I know Santa Claus is coming to town.

In the days I work my day job, in the nights I work my night; But, it all comes down to working man’s pay.

Getting ready. Getting ready; ready for Christmas Day.” Paul Simon + his band @ hxxps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=saAkVT_n2Mo&pp=ygUqcGF1bCBzaW1vbiBnZXR0aW5nIHJlYWR5IGZvciBjaHJpc3RtYXMgZGF5
