The demonstrators, movingly chanting “Free Palestine” and “Stop the Genocide” were standing in the courtyard of the Hart Senate Building on Capitol Hill on Monday when they were arrested by Capitol police.

sigh—-The said to be ” Sweet Land of Liberty,” must not exist. I have heard of America and I live in a place with that name——But as I look around the world—-I see no honor—but I see thieves , and hypocrisy and sadly i see this all in my own nation.
How dare you be against Jews—-well gosh, how dare anyone against Black people, or Native people—or people with disabilities.
Oh America please stop who you are, turn around and lead in the direction of the UN and act like real humans and take your vote again—-and see if the idea of sharing the planet with others can make a difference in the Life of this planet and we the humans that live here. There is nothing to win here Humans—but we all have everything to lose.

In my opinion, what is going on in Gaza cannot be called anything else but “genocide”.

Trying to undo the sins of the nation state within the confines of the nation-state concept is likely to be unsuccessful. Part of what I want to do is to encourage more of us to think about new ways to think and act on this issue.

There must be a permanent ceasefire, not with Palestinians suffering under oppressive conditions, but as a place where all live with peace and equality. It is time for Pope Francis to do more than talk. He must go to Gaza and make a stand for peace and freedom.

Please sign the petition and share widely.

This is one small thing we can do. If we can do more, let us do more.

What would have been really cool and so much more American was if the cops refused to arrest the protesters. Too bad they don’t have the courage to do so.

I’m impressed with the US police force
Evidently they have drastically lowered the crime rate so much that all the police can do nowadays is arrest anti war heroes.

I agree with Paul’s:- ‘JUST SAY NO!’

This was a deeply impactful protest. US government is a disgrace to humanity. The beavery of the demonstrators is beautiful to witness. Kudos to the dedicated cameraman. Great job.

Brilliant brave souls with great voices. Did the police read them their rights?

Apparently not, assuming the Capitol Police have ever read the relevant document themselves, can understand the basic English in which it is written and are not paranoid and delusional to the point of absolute insanity.

Just as a reminder to Genocide Joe and his would-be instigators of an American Maidan…

      Amendment I
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Seems like every stated issue from “abridging freedom of speech” on through to the end of the text is totally relevant to the case at hand.

The police are just following orders.
The civilians loading bombs and munitions aboard US aircraft bound for Israel are just doing their job: and the military flying planes are just following orders.
The corporations that build munitions are innocent of malice, its duty is to make a profit.

Seems like Demento Joe (now wearing the mantle of Genocide Joe) is trying his damnedest to make the case for his removal from office iron clad. What is the opposition waiting for? Every policy the man pushes is irrational, hostile and destructive to the national interest. Israel has perpetrated way more ethnic cleansing than the Serbs under Melosevic ever did. It has learned an entire encyclopedia of thuggery from Uncle Sam. Chop, chop! Extricate Loco Joe before the entire world is in a war that eradicates all civilisation.
