We were so busy covering Gaza we failed to acknowledge it or celebrate (it is a very difficult time to celebrate anything).
Over the years, Consortium News has made its mark in its critique of U.S. and allied policies, foreign and domestic, especially the false rationale for the 2003 invasion of Iraq; the 2014 Kiev coup and all the disasters it has led to; the phony Russiagate scandal and the intensive coverage of the most important press freedom case in decades: Julian Assange.

IMO, all lives are a consequence of individuals’ component historical factors.
Today, December 7th is also the day of imperialist infamy, which began in full force 82 years ago; and two months to the day of yet another proxy imperialist invasion – of Gaza, on October 7th 2023.
“If all the world’s a stage”, as someone once said, it seems that history marches on unrelentingly, and unrepentantly, without most of us even recognizing that we are the main characters in the play of history!
