The UNGA, in my view, is totally USELESS …

Anthony Blinken, just a few days ago, made very clear that ‘bad’ publicity that exposed ‘Illegal Israeli Actions’ was to be suppressed.

Blinken asked the Qatari government to “change its public posture” towards Hamas.
One positive step – from Blinken’s perspective – would be for the Qatari government to pressure Al-Jazeera to “turn down the volume on [its reporting on Gaza] because it is full of anti-Israel incitement.”

Blinken has just confirmed that media outlets ought to conform to the requirements of propaganda dispersion.

This is not America? – oh, yes it is.
It’s something about the USA that non-Americans have realised for a long time.

I am disheartened to hear representatives who should understand by now that there is no two state solution. The Nakba must be undone. It is the cause of this conflict. Before 1948, Muslims, Jews and Christians lived together in peace in one state. Member states of the UN seem ignorant of this fact. I feel exhausted by the inability of people who should know better to grasp how decades of repression and violence directed toward the Palestinians has ensured a slave type revolt. The only solace I find is the rising support for Palestinian rights under Israeli Apartheid.

Hundreds of UMASS students walked out of their classes and occupied the administration building yesterday. Some were arrested and were arraigned today. They are determined to continue their dissent. The resistance is rising.

The war in Ukraine was a debacle for the people of Ukraine from Day 1 and for NATO/US from about 90 days in. But yet no one in NATO/US seems to have the ability to step back and see the carnage that has already taken place nor look ahead to see the carnage ahead should the war continue.

Similar situation with the US/Israel adventure. Israel is surrounded by countries that at best tolerate them and at worst hate them. I don’t see how Israel benefits from not going to the UN and seeking a solution. And before going to the UN the Israelis must tell the Biden Administration to stay out of any settlement discussion.

The country continuously supporting conflict around the world is the country which continually has to justify its absurdly large $850 Billion dollar annual Department of War budget. Peace is not good for the MIC or the war budget and so no peace it is.

“peace does not pay!”, they say.

and justify their never-ever-ending wars against
,rogues’, ,terror’, ,thugs’, ,drugs’, threats of all kinds [and colors]
while the most enraging part of their machinations is that they
always manage to CON_vince large swaths of people to follow
      their lead. still.
MEAN_while, the warmonger and profiteer can cheer.
selling a tank or two, and laughing, all the way to a bank,
      or two.

So will the World Court put out an international arrest warrant on Benjamin Netanyahu?

Not much support for Israel there. And it is the first time i heard applause from the floor of the UN, given to the minister of foreign affairs for Indonesia for her heartfelt address. It’s such a shame it has taken this long for any meaningful support for the Palestinians to come to the fore and by such hideous means from Israel.

Indonesia is a staunch supporter of Palestine, and currently has a foreign minister who’s able to deliver that message.

Everyone has the right to defend themselves. This is true for Israel. It is also and equally true for the Palestinians. The empty rhetoric that keeps spewing forth from Israel and its Western backers about the right to self-defense is simply deflection because Israel is not demanding the right to defend itself, which it already has, it is demanding the right to remove or massacre the Palestinian civilian population and take over their land for itself. Are Israeli settlers not already salivating at the prospect of taking over Gaza for their own once the “animals” are removed? Of course, the US supports this. Not a surprise because this is exactly what America did to its own native American Indian population. Not to mention over a century of human slavery for elite economic benefit. Listening to America sanctimoniously lecture others about human rights, democracy and rule of law is enough to make anyone gag. And Israel is the same.

The reality is that should Israel succeed in this, in particular with US/Western support, the effect on the world will be much like the discovery of the Nazi concentration camps, the unconscionable mechanism of their final solution. There is no going back from that. The stain remains forever. This is bad enough in itself but the fact remains that both Netanyahu and Biden are likely facing prosecution for their own unrelated alleged criminal actions when their respective terms are up. So is all this rampaging and killing for a greater Israel or simply, banally, to save Netanyahu (and Biden) from prosecution? And should Israel’s current and in fact decades long blatant criminality in Gaza be accepted by the world, then the world will join them in that criminality (per recent events, it seems Canada is already well on its way). But it will not, in fact, be the world that falls, but rather the Western part of it along with its vacuous and self-serving rules based order that will be finally exposed for the sham that it is. And all by its own sordid choices. Good riddance to that.
