Radio host, activist and comedian Randy Credico visited Donbass and tells CN Live! what he saw.
Randy Credico speaks to CN Live! about what he witnessed in Donbass and experienced in Moscow during his time there as the war in Ukraine rages on.
He was interviewed by Elizabeth Vos and Joe Lauria. Produced by Cathy Vogan.
Profoundly human and moving commentary. This should be broadcast mainstream all over the world.
Donetsk is a working class city of approximately 1 million people. It produces iron, coal and steel like Sheffield in England or Pittsburgh in the US. There is a huge statue of a miner in the middle of the city. All power to the people of Donetsk who have been under siege from the Ukie army and its goon squads since 2014. These people are made of steel. No surrender, I salute you!
Even for those of us who have followed the situation in Ukraine since 2014, this was very enlightening. Thanks so much to Randy Credico for his courageous reporting. Thanks also to Joe for educating us on the history of Western intelligence supporting the Nazi element in Ukraine since the end of WWll. This is vital historical context the world needs to know in order to put the conflict into its proper context. Just saying that of course would cause the blue and yellow flag waving set’s hair on fire. So be it.
It still blows my mind that anyone ever thought Discord (a venture capital project started by someone who had already been sued over multiple breaches of computer fraud and privacy under California law in their last venture) was ever private or secure. Did people really learn so little from the Snowden leaks and the NSA PRISM program–in particular Microsoft and Skype’s early involvement?
Richard Stallman was right: Software you cannot control is software that is instead used to control you. This applies perhaps more to communication software than any other kind of software.
Wow. What a man. That was absolutely amazing. I must confess i had never heard of Randy Credico before. I love his passion and bravery. And of course the witnessing to the real situation on the ground. Mr. Credico’s apprehension of nuclear war is possibly exacerbated by the western msm and governments’ penchant for continuously harping on about Russia using nuclear weapons. Thankyou Mr. Lauria for the Jimi Hendrix anecdote. I’m sure Ms. Vos and Mr. Lauria will make fine work of the interview they are to receive. Many thanks to all CN staff for excellent coverage of what really goes on in our precarious world.
Pictures alone without truthful words may leave viewers
deeper in darkness, their “last state worse than the first”
(Matthew 12.45).
So unless Putin is given all credit for wanting a peaceful
negotiated settlement to the US/ NATO in Ukraine caused
conflict, and that all those horrible pictures of destruction,
which also apply to U.S. military aggression in Iraq, Afghanistan,
Syria, Israel in Gaza, Lebanon, they serve only to enhance the
war crimes
It was an illuminating interview and commentary.
The question is whether the US warmongering management in the form of Biden and Co., Neocons, Israeli stooges et al, will find some way to get back at Randy Credico in the near future. It is the kind of reaction we generally expect to see in cases like this.
Personally, being from Australia, Randy was not known to me at all but his comments in Donbass and Moscow were what I would have expected to hear and his comments about the people in both those countries was certainly respectful. Rightly so.
So well done, Consortium News. More of this. Educating the world to the real truth, not the fantasies from the NYT and Washington Post and Fox and all the rest is a damned hard job. You more than do your share.
Look forward to this tomorrow.
It is tonight, Tuesday, April 18, at 8 pm US east coast time. Tomorrow, Wednesday, 10 am Australian east coast time.
