Very soon, when the life gets hard for people in the west (those in other parts of the world have already been stripped of their wealth) due to the greed, corruption, warmongering, coercion and lying of those in power will people start to research and investigate the decisions of our leaders, both in the recent and distant past. Decisions that have led us to many horrific happenings around the world and in this instance a situation where a investigative journalist is silenced and locked away for telling the truth. Locked up just because of the embarrassment caused to the establishment and for ‘it’ to keep control. Once this happens like a house of cards this corrupt, controlling, putrid system will begin to crumble, then only then will we see how low these ‘rulers’ and those that are behind them the ones with the real power will go. The fight will be cruel, destructive especially for the poor (that is the 99% of us remember the 3rd world have already felt this over the years) but the fight must be engaged. What the outcome will be is hard to predict, maybe the world as we know it will cease to exist, but if we survive and win then we have to make sure that the greed led system we have at the moment is replaced and leaders with integrity are allowed to rise to positions of leadership.

The spectacle of pieces of human garbage like Johnson and Patel deciding the fate of this courageous and brave family is galling. We are approaching a time when the only recourse is revolution.
Well said..you are exactly right, but our sad Media, needs a big shock, of people boycotting their
pointless drivel and doing what we pay them to!
I remember the days I paid for the Guardian, when now, I despise them for their silence on Assange and would
never open a single page of their lies!
Well done, ConsortiumNews and Gordon Dimmack, for this publication and reporting. Mrs Assange’s (nee Moris) brief speech was a light in the dark times in which we live. It beautifully echoed the Sam Adams award which Julian was awarded by VIPS. Here it is not a candle in a corner but the stellar light of love which shines.
For the UK and the USA to be able to convince anyone that they are in any way concerned with freedom democracy, decency, peace, international law makes a mockery of these noble concepts. Telling the truth is a crime if those in power are exposed.
And now should commence the “happily ever after” part.
Alas, the Evil Empire will not allow it. Not in this life.
