The United States appeal against a British judge’s decision not to extradite imprisoned WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange begins at the High Court in London on Wednesday with prosecutors for the U.S. seeking to prove Assange is faking psychological disorders and urges to kill himself.
The U.S. wants the High Court to overturn the order of Magistrate Vanessa Baraitser on Jan. 4 not to extradite Assange to the U.S. — to face charges of espionage and conspiracy to commit computer intrusion — because of Assange’s high risk of suicide and the inhumane conditions of U.S. prisons.

Let’s have a vote on whether we keep the CIA or not. I don’t think they would win any popularity contests and a lot of our troubles would be gone. They just represent corporations banks and the wealthy anyway. License to murder.
We seem powerless at this point. The judiciary is almost all taken over by corporate interests. The Federalist Society made that happen along with Trump and McConnell taking advantage of an opportunity to roll over public interests and individual rights. Obama didn’t help either. Merrick Garland doesn’t look like he would have been a good SP justice, considering the half-assed way he’s running the Dept of Justice.
