Rocking the Boat

We’ve been doing it for 25 years non-stop.

There has been no journalist in the past decade who has rocked the boat more than Julian Assange. For it, he sits in a dank cell in Belmarsh Prison. He only gets to leave the maximum security block, and peer out the window to the streets of London, when a van takes him every morning to a glass cage at his extradition trial at the Old Bailey.

Consortium News is pretty good at rocking the boat too. We are providing the most extensive coverage of the Assange hearing because we recognize its supreme, historic importance in the ongoing battle to win and preserve press freedom.

We do not fall victim to the poisonous partnership that would see Assange only through a petty, narrow lens. Consortium News is an equal opportunity offender.

The entire American ruling class is our target, its trivial party differences be damned.

We’ve been doing it for a quarter of a century.

So help us keep rocking it with a generous donation to our 25th Anniversary Fall Fund Drive.

I like that expression , “rocking the boat.”

We don’t hear it that much anymore. It is a bit dated.

But it is good, vivid language
