Financial Crisis at Consortiumnews

From Editor Robert Parry: After paying our writers for their original work last month, Consortiumnews is down to two-weeks-worth of money in its bank account. If you agree that this experiment in independent investigative journalism is important, please contribute what you can.

Your donations can be made by credit card at the Consortiumnews.com Web site or by check to: Consortium for Independent Journalism (CIJ); 2200 Wilson Blvd., Suite 102-231; Arlington VA 22201. To use PayPal, our account is named after our e-mail address: “consortnew @ aol.com”

Book purchases — through the Web site — also would help. (And shipping is now free.)

As always, thanks for your support.

Robert Parry

Robert Parry broke many of the Iran-Contra stories in the 1980s for the Associated Press and Newsweek. He founded Consortiumnews.com in 1995 as the Internet’s first investigative magazine. He saw it as a way to combine modern technology and old-fashioned journalism to counter the increasing triviality and timidity of the mainstream U.S. news media.

Thank you to Kenneth R. Jackson, and two thumbs down to the nut job who won’t even sign his name. And just BECAUSE Mr. nwo_lackey wrote what he wrote, I am going to contribute to this outstanding journalism. The trolls won’t win.

Its good to hear that youre going out of business. Your reporting, FRANKLY, stinks. I think its time for you to wrap your two-bit show up and get a real job. Youre not special.

To Chief Jackson up above: this man does more to suppress truth than to reveal it. It appears you havent gone down the rabbit hole far enough. Your “career” was at the behest of some evil scumbags and their thirst for control and destruction of humanity. Why should you receive more than a pittance…or anything at all. Read War is a Racket by Smedley Butler.

Being an old retired Navy Chief, and living in French Polynesia, I have precious little that I can afford to dispense frivolously. I provide as best possible for my family here, we live on my retirement, and from our lagoon that provides me with fish and a small garden that allows us to have fresh vegetables more often than not. I am contributing to you as without freedom and liberty, I wouldn’t even have the pittense that I receive now. You do a yeomans job Mr. Perry. I hold you in great respect for you ability to keep the truth out front no matter the opposition from the insane right wing idiots. I will continue to try to help whenever I possibly can with whatever I can afford.

I am happy to be able to afford even this small amount, and hope that it will help in some small way. May you receive much more from those who have much more than I and may you remain a thorn in the heel of the Conservative Idiots who think they and their religion belong in our government

    Sincerely

    Kenneth R. Jackson
