Under Republican fire for supposedly lacking patriotism, Democrat Barack Obama mostly is toeing the line on the Bush administration’s – and John McCain’s – tough talk toward Russia over its conflict with Georgia.
Journalist Eric Margolis, author of War at the Top of the World, notes that Obama and the Democrats are shying away from any direct criticism of the Bush administration’s provocative actions near Russia’s borders.
