For five years now, President Bush and his political allies have made former Ambassador Joseph Wilson a favorite whipping boy, never forgiving him for being one of the first Washington insiders to criticize Bush’s misuse of intelligence to justify the Iraq War.
So, at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Bush’s abuses of presidential power, even after Republicans reminded everyone that rules barred personal attacks (on Bush), that didn’t stop one Republican congressman from harshly criticizing Wilson.
