In America, it is rather consistent that about 60-70% of the people tell pollsters that the nation is going in the wrong direction. This should be impossible in a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Will such a people’s government consistently head in the wrong direction? A nation where the people regularly say, across multiple administrations, that the nation is headed in the wrong direction is not a functioning democracy.
