If the Brits had any sense they would stop this BS and offer Julian a pay off.

If this were not such a serious matter it would be comical watching as these pompous, arrogant bunglers make absolute asses of themselves. I listen to Joe and have Monty Python visions in my head.

All of this to silence a very brilliant thinker instead of letting him cultivate his knowledge into useful tools for mankind.

Niraj Lal’s story of Assange and his rubberhose cryptography concept is great stuff and yes Joe these idiots got embarrassed and driven their self-proclaimed prosecutorial authority have managed to burn-up years of important time our species may not have to burn. Vanity at it’s worst.

We can list a pretty long list of young brilliant people that America’s government and judicial system has abused because they refused to play ball and work soley for the U.S. government.

And sometimes as with the case of Bill Hamilton, INSLAW and the PROMIS software the government just allows that their work be stolen.

    THANKS CN

I’am surprised that Assange’s defense isn’t bringing forward the fact the legality of US prosecuters in a British court going after an innocent Australian national. It again reminds me of the Neurenberg Tribunal also illegally controlled by US prosecuters. During my legal studies in Switzerland we extensively researched this. And let me further point out that German laws are based on ROMAN laws & not US/UK case laws! Also in the case of Julian Assange I didn’t see ANYWHERE which gives USA the right to prosecute in the FIRST Place since the alleged crimes took place outside of US territory & didn’t affect US citizens either!! Therefore Julian Assange’s prosecution by USA misses ALL CAUSAL CONNECTIONS which is essential for ANY ACCUSATION, at least in a CIVIL SOCIETY.

Somehow the words seem so inadequate, but thank you so very much for reporting this very important matter to all of us.

    Thanks Mr. Lauria

Is there a possibility that the British are blowing the case in order to save face?
