The Dark Inevitability of Zionism

Among the growing assaults on freedom of speech is an Israeli-driven campaign to criminalize a campaign to boycott Israel over its racist persecution of Palestinians, writes Lawrence Davidson.

By Lawrence Davidson

We know where Zionism has taken Israel. The Balfour Declaration of 1917 led the way. In that imperial and colonial document, the British promised the World Zionist Organization a “Jewish National Home” in Palestine. They did so, as Edward Said put it, in “flat disregard of both the presence and wishes of the native majority residents in that territory.”

Right from the start the Zionists understood “national home” to mean an eventual Jewish state. Actualizing that assumption has had enormous implications not only for the Palestinians but also for the Jews. And, as it turns out, for the rest of us as well.

You cannot introduce one people, in this case a large number of Europeans who happen to be Jewish, into a territory populated by hundreds of thousands of non-Europeans, without negative consequences. And, if the incoming Europeans have the goal of creating a state exclusively for their group alone, those consequences are going to be dire indeed. Surrounded by “the other,” the only way you can achieve your exclusive state is through discriminatory practices and laws ultimately producing an apartheid nation. And that is what happened.

While this has meant, and continues to mean, segregation, ethnic cleansing and Bantustans for the Palestinians, for the Jews it means that their religion is tied to a racist political ideology. There is no instance of Israeli prejudice exercised against the Palestinians, no act of violence committed against them, that does not simultaneously dishonor and debase the Jewish religion and people.

Worldwide Consequences

How about the rest of world? The consequences of Zionism are threatening both security and equality everywhere. Here is how this is happening:

In 1948, some Palestinians, uprooted by Israel’s claims to their lands, relocated to the Jaramana Refugee Camp in Damascus, Syria

—As the Balfour Declaration indicates, Israel and its society are products of a colonial era. That is an era when the people of both Europe and the U.S. openly practiced racist policies and behavior toward non-Europeans. They regularly trampled of the rights of alleged inferiors. Israel continues to operate in this fashion into the present.

—Following World War II, it became understood that these behaviors and attitudes are morally indefensible and their consequences should be remedied. And so, the United Nations was established, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights issued, and a number of treaties embodying international laws designating crimes against humanity were signed. With this process the world entered a potentially more civilized, post-colonial age.

—When this happened the Zionist project instantly became an anachronism. In fact, Israel became a state that defied the modern norm the moment it was proclaimed.

—However, Israel does not want to be outside the norm. It wants to be accepted as a “normal” nation, particularly within the Western state system. There are only two ways this can happen: either (1) Israel must either give up the racist ideology of Zionism and embrace a form of democracy accessible to all its people regardless of religion or ethnicity, or (2) the world must revert back to an acceptance of at least some of the colonial practices of the Nineteenth and early Twentieth centuries.

You would think that choosing the anti-racist option, and therefore seriously pressuring Israel – as the world had done with white-ruled South Africa – to fundamentally change, would be the obvious choice for today’s statesmen. But it seems not. Why is that?

There is now an ongoing effort, we might call it the updated Zionist project, to move the world backward so as to accept racist past practices as “normal.” It consists of (a) an attack on international law protecting human rights (despite the fact that much of this law was created as a reaction to the anti-Semitic crimes of World War II), (b) an attempt to undermine the International Criminal Court, and (c) an attack on the United Nations and its efforts to protect the human and political rights of Palestinians.

Enter BDS

It is clear that very few of the world’s governments are willing to confront Israel, even though it is an apartheid state existing in an era that claims to detest such racist regimes. This has a lot to do with the financial and special interest strength of Zionist supporters both Jewish and Christian, and the strategic use of such power to corrupt policymaking. This can be seen most plainly in the United States.

Palestinian boys prepare to welcome Women’s Boat to Gaza, which was intercepted by the Israeli naval blockade on Oct. 5, 2016.

There are also Israel’s extensive high-tech and weapons-trading networks in Europe, Africa and South America that lead important political and economic institutions and individuals to support, or at least turn a blind eye to, the Zionist state. And then, of course, there are a growing number of states that themselves have plans to marginalize their own minorities.

Does this mean that there is no defense against the insidious effects of this reactionary regime – one which, according to its own past Prime Minister Ehud Barak, is “infected with fascism”? No, there are options to oppose Israel. However, at present they are to be found outside of the realm of government action and, at least for the moment, outside occupied Palestine as well.

The latter is so because inside Palestine, 70 years of Israeli colonial savagery has worn down much of the indigenous population. This does not mean that resistance from within the Occupied Territories does not continue. It does, but at relatively low levels and at a high cost.

Since the death of Yasser Arafat in 2004, too many of the Palestinian leaders have been co-opted into playing the role of modern-day Quislings. The Palestinians within Israeli-controlled territory are now fragmented into Bantustan-style enclaves, and their own “security forces” often work hand-in-hand with the Israeli oppressors.

As a consequence of these circumstances, right now the greatest pressure can be put on apartheid Israel through the activities of organized civil society. This pressure by itself may or may not be able to force fundamental change on Israel, but it can certainly raise the cost of its racist behavior and impact public opinion.

Here we are talking about the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement that urges both individuals and organizations (be they economic, cultural or intellectual) to avoid interacting with Israel and its state-sponsored institutions and projects. To date this has proved to be an effective weapon against Israeli racism and colonialism. For instance, if you go to the website of the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, you can find a list of 200 recent victories falling within the Boycott and Divestment categories. State-based sanctions are still in the future.

Israeli Pressure

Success in this regard has, of course, generated a fierce reaction from the Zionists. According to a Huffington Post article, “The Israeli government has reportedly committed tens of millions of dollars, one government ministry and its military and security intelligence assets to the fight.

Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, addresses the general debate of the General Assembly’s seventy-first session.
22 September 2016 (UN Photo)

Israeli Minister of Transport, Intelligence and Atomic Energy, Yisrael Katz, recently called for “targeted civil eliminations” of BDS leaders. Actually, such a reaction reflects not only the fact that the cost of Israeli racism is on the rise, but also that the Zionists have lost the public (if not the governmental) debate when it comes to their behavior toward the Palestinians.

Put broadly, BDS is an effort to help save the positive potential inherent in modern post-colonial society: the civilizing potential to be found in international law, in human and civil rights, in a benevolent and egalitarian rule of law for all of us.

So successful has BDS been to date, and so much potential does it have to help force Israel down the same road as white-ruled South Africa, that Israel and its surrogates in the U.S. and Europe are willing to undermine the very laws and rights that help uphold what freedoms there are within the public realm. For instance, in the U.S., the very right to engage in such a boycott is under Zionist attack, and by extension, so is the constitutional protection to free speech. American Zionists seem willing to subvert their own constitutional protections in order to support a racist foreign state.

Zionism can be seen as a strange twist on the Spanish philosopher George Santayana’s warning that “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” The Zionists certainly remember the persecutions suffered by European Jews. But they forget that this mistreatment was most often organized by racist states that sought to ethnically cleanse the Jews.

Having forgotten about this state-based aspect of their own past, the Zionist state now commits this same offense against the Palestinians. It also needs the rest of us to forget the sins of past racism if it is to carry on its effort to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians. Our response should be to embrace the motto, “Never Again!” It is time to direct this demand to the shameful behavior of Israel and the Zionists.

It is wondered if the ‘inevitability of Zionism” has any connection with the New World Order detailed in footnote 18-19 of the article suggesting the Federal Reserve embezzles money from the U.S. government. https://www.scribd.com/document/355085824/Embezzlement-by-Federal-Reserve

Zionism was born, pre-twenteth century, out of the absurd belief that racial purity was of urgent necessity for the sake of group health and survival. Like Nazism, both had adopted, from Britain, America and Canada, a nationalistic eugenicist ideology, espousing genetic determinism and racialist superiority over the rest of humanity, who were seen simply as defective. Mixed with zealot religious overtones, and you get what the previous century wrought, Endless war and death.

” It is NOT racist to want to protect your ethnicity.”
In your case it certainly is. You are a pollutant, trying to protect your unimportant ethnicity. You are a semite, like many others. Only you think that being a jew is better than being simply a semite. There is nothing special about you except that you are more obnoxious. The more you try, the more you make yourself ridiculous.
Get over it: you and they are the same. There is no way you can overcome your ethnicity except through intelligence, which you do not possess.

      “Unimportant ethnicity”, huh?
Until now I had been unaware of the distinction between important and unimportant ethnicities.
Is this distinction important or unimportant?
How unimportant must an ethnicity be in order to become eligible for the gas chamber?

“Speciesist” may be more appropriate than racist. Michael Bradley, author of “The Iceman Inheritance (1978),and “Chosen People from the Caucasus” (1992) , states “In my view there are two major subspecies of technical “humanity” presently contending for the domination of our world”, Cro-Magnons, or “ordinary humanity” and Neanderthals, a subspecies whose physical appearance “is characterized by very great nasal development, extreme hairiness in males, long torsos and short legs, extremely high numerical and spatial intelligence, very little visual artistic ability, a low level of emotional stability, fanatical monotheism, anti-feminism and a predisposition to control, enslave or exterminate “ordinary humanity”. Bradley’s calculations “indicate that some Middle East Semitic populations approach 50 percent Neanderthal and in some very specific small areas, 70 percent. Researchers subjected ” every Neanderthal bone then known to a forensic-style analysis and found over twice the number of violence-inflicted injuries as among any similar number of bones from other fossil humans”.

In 1914 Jews made up one per cent of the population of the Ottoman Empire. After the empire broke up, why shouldn’t Jews be allotted one per cent of the empire’s territory? Since the Ottoman Empire was about the size of Mexico, 1% of its territory comes to 12 thousand square miles, which, it so happens, is the area that the Jews presently control, comprising Israel and the Palestinian territories.
In 1914 Jews made up 6% of the inhabitants of southern Syria, which after Turkey’s defeat became the British Mandate of Palestine. They weren’t the majority there or anywhere else in the Ottoman Empire. Should the fact that Jews did not densely inhabit any part of the empire preclude them for all eternity from having a country of their own? That position would be defensible if Jews could live peacefully as minorities in the various Middle Eastern countries. But that is not the case. As a matter of fact, almost all non-Muslim minorities have been expelled from the Middle East over the last century: Nasser expelled the Greek and Armenian minorities from Egypt, the Christian minorities were subjected to genocide in Turkey and Iraq, and so forth. The Jews were expelled from every Arab country except Tunisia and Morocco.
Whereas the Ottoman Empire was multi-cultural, Turkey and the Arab countries except for Lebanon and Syria became unicultural. Although it wasn’t evident in 1918, at the beginning, there was never any prospect of non-Muslims being able to live peacefully there.
Any non-Muslim minority in Muslim lands needs its own army and its own state in order to survive. The Druze suffered terrible persecution in the 1950s. A former president of Syria, General Shishakli, was murdered in Brazil by a Syrian Druze in revenge for the slaughter he had committed against his people. In Lebanon the Christians have been able to hold their own because the French kindly split off a coastal territory for them to control when they became independent in 1943.
The main problem in the Middle East is not Zionism, but Muslim-Arab chauvinism.

Zionism is foundationally eugenics. What is odd about this fact, however, is that Judaism, its grounding faith, is only a religion, not a geographic ethnicity. Indeed, it is a world religion, that anyone can join. As such there is no need for a homeland, it can be practiced anywhere. Dispora, as well, is another anachronistic myth that is meaningless in light of its worldliness, as are the claims, over fabled lands, from 3-5 millenia ago.

Conventional Hasbara (overtly pro-Israel. pro-Zionist) propaganda manipulates information about the plight of Sephardim or non-Ashkenazi Jews.

In the narrower ethnic definition, a Sephardi Jew is a Jew descended from the Jews who lived in the Iberian Peninsula in the late 15th century, immediately prior to the issuance of the Alhambra Decree of 1492 by order of the Catholic Monarchs in Spain, and the decree of 1496 in Portugal by order of King Manuel I.

In Hebrew, the term “Sephardim Tehorim” has in recent times come to be used in some quarters to distinguish Sephardim proper “who trace their lineage back to the Iberian/Spanish population” from Sephardim in the broader religious sense.

This distinction has also been made in reference to genetic findings in research on Sephardim proper in contrast to other communities of Jews today termed Sephardi more broadly.

The modern Israeli Hebrew definition of Sephardi is a much broader, religious based, definition that generally excludes ethnic considerations. In its most basic form, this broad religious definition of a Sephardi refers to any Jew, of any ethnic background, who follows the customs and traditions of Sepharad. For religious purposes, and in modern Israel, “Sephardim” is most often used in this wider sense which encompasses most non-Ashkenazi Jews who are not ethnically Sephardi, but are in most instances of West Asian or North African origin, but who nonetheless commonly use a Sephardic style of liturgy.

The term Sephardi in the broad sense, thus describes the nusach or liturgical tradition used by Sephardi Jews in their Siddur (prayer book). A nusach is defined by a liturgical tradition’s choice of prayers, order of prayers, text of prayers and melodies used in the singing of prayers. Sephardim traditionally pray using Minhag Sefarad. The term Nusach Sefard or Nusach Sfarad does not refer to the liturgy generally recited by Sephardim proper or even Sephardi in a broader sense, but rather to an alternative Eastern European liturgy used by many Hasidim who are in fact Ashkenazi.

According to the 2009 Statistical Abstract of Israel, 50.2% of Israeli Jews are Sephardim.

After the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Zionists during the 1948 War, subsequent conflicts and actions by Arab governments in the 1950s and 1960s led to the departure of large numbers of Sephardim from the Middle East.

The 1956 Suez Crisis led to the overwhelming majority of Sephardim leaving Arab countries. They became refugees. Most went to Israel. Many Moroccan and Algerian Jews went to France. Thousands of Lebanese, Syrian and Egyptian Jews emigrated to the United States and to Brazil.

Today, as many as 40,000 Sephardim still remain in communities scattered throughout the non-Arab Muslim world, primarily in Iran, but also Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. There are few Maghrebim remaining in the Arab world too. About 5,000 remain in Morocco and fewer than 2,000 in Tunisia. Other countries with remnants of ancient Jewish communities with official recognition, such as Lebanon, have 100 or fewer Jews. A trickle of emigration continues, mainly to Israel and the United States.

The trauma of rupture from their countries of origin was further complicated by the difficulty of the transition upon arrival in Israel; Sephardi immigrants and refugees were placed in rudimentary and hastily erected tent cities (Ma’abarot) often in development towns on the peripheries of Israel. Settlement in Moshavim (cooperative farming villages) was only partially successful, because Sephardim had historically filled a niche as craftsmen and merchants and most did not traditionally engage in farmwork. As the majority left their property behind in their home countries as they journeyed to Israel, many suffered a severe decrease in their socio-economic status aggravated by their cultural and political differences with the dominant Ashkenazi community. Furthermore, a policy of austerity was enforced at that time due to economic hardships.

Sephardi immigrants arrived with many mother tongues. Many, especially those from North Africa and the fertile crescent, spoke Arabic dialects; those from Iran spoke Persian; Mountain Jews from Azerbaijan arrived with Judeo-Tat; Baghdadi Jews from India arrived with English; Bukharan Jews from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan arrived with the Bukhori dialect; the Bene Israel from Maharashtra, India arrived with Marathi, Sephardim from elsewhere brought Georgian, Judaeo-Georgian and various other languages with them. Hebrew had historically been a language only of prayer for most Jews not living in Israel. Thus, with their arrival in Israel, the Sephardim retained culture, customs and language distinct from the Ashkenazim.

Sephardim have for many decades lived as stigmatized citizens of Israel. Their traditional Arabic culture and form of Jewish religiosity frequently objects of scorn and prejudice by the Ashkenazim.

Less obvious than the second-class status of Sephardim has been the gradual assimilation of Sephardic Jews into the dominant Ashkenazi social regime in Israel. In spite of the fact that Sephardim comprise a substantial percentage of the Israeli Jewish population, in socio-cultural terms they find themselves in a subservient position vis-à-vis the Ashkenazim.

The main problem in the Middle East in general and Israel in particular is the ideology of Zionism, the weaponized Jewish-European chauvinism of extremist Ashkenazim and their strange bedfellows.

I see. So when Jews do it to Arabs, it’s “ethnic cleansing”, but when Arabs do it to Jews it’s “subsequent conflicts and actions by Arab governments … that led to the departure of … Sephardim”.

      November 29, 2017 at 22:22

Conventional Hasbara (overtly pro-Israel / pro-Zionist) propaganda uses various rhetorical tactics to deflect Palestinian refugee claims.

The reality is that during the 1948 War in Palestine, around 85% (720,000 people) of the Palestinian Arab population of what became Israel were expelled from their homes or fled to the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and to the countries of Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

By contrast, Jews from Arab lands and Iran who voluntarily emigrated to Israel typically were not subject to persecution or repression in their native lands. They emigrated for a variety of reasons, depending on the country, the time, the community, and the person.

Periods of Jewish emigration from Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East and North Africa often was entirely voluntary, primarily driven by economic factors and post-colonial political struggles. Jewish emigration was alternately permitted and barred.

As a result of the 1948 war in Palestine and subsequent armed conflicts, there were attacks on Jewish communities in a number of countries. And there most certainly were expulsions, most notably from Iraq during the 1950s. However, the waves of Jewish migration to Israel during the second half of the twentieth century were largely voluntary.

However, the official position of the Israeli government is that Jews from Arab countries are all considered refugees. Israel uses such claims in order to counterbalance to those of Palestinian refugees against it.

Israeli sociologist Yehouda Shenhav traced the origins of the conceptualization of the Sephardim as “Arab Jews” by challenging the hegemonic discourse of Ashkenazim in Israel, which uses the category of the “Oriental Jews” and later “Mizrahi”. Both of those options, according to Shenhav, conceals the Arab identities and culture of the Sephardim.

In 2003, Shenhav published (in Hebrew) The Arab Jews, in which he attempted to place the discussion of the Arab Jews within the context of the discussion of the Palestinian refugees and the Palestinian narrative. He challenges the Israeli structural knowledge which separates, factitiously in his eyes, between them. The book was also published in English in 2006 by Stanford University Press.

Shenhav has criticized the analogy between Jewish emigration from Arab countries and the Palestinian exodus. He says “The unfounded, immoral analogy between Palestinian refugees and Mizrahi immigrants needlessly embroils members of these two groups in a dispute, degrades the dignity of many Mizrahi Jews, and harms prospects for genuine Jewish-Arab reconciliation.”

Writing in Haaretz, Shenhav has stated that “the campaign’s proponents hope their efforts will prevent conferral of what is called a ‘right of return’ on Palestinians, and reduce the size of the compensation Israel is liable to be asked to pay in exchange for Palestinian property appropriated by the state guardian of ‘lost’ assets.”

Shenhav noted: “Any reasonable person, Zionist or non-Zionist, must acknowledge that the analogy drawn between Palestinians and Mizrahi Jews is unfounded. Palestinian refugees did not want to leave Palestine. Many Palestinian communities were destroyed in 1948, and some 700,000 Palestinians were expelled, or fled, from the borders of historic Palestine. Those who left did not do so of their own volition. In contrast, Jews from Arab lands came to this country under the initiative of the State of Israel and Jewish organizations. Some came of their own free will; others arrived against their will. Some lived comfortably and securely in Arab lands; others suffered from fear and oppression.”

Israeli historian Yehoshua Porath also has rejected the comparison of Palestinians and Sephardim, arguing that while there is a superficial similarity, the ideological and historical significance of the two population movements are entirely different. Porath points out that the immigration of Jews from Arab countries to Israel, expelled or not, was the “fulfillment of a national dream”.

Porath also argues that the achievement of this Zionist goal was only made possible through the endeavors of the Jewish Agency’s agents, teachers, and instructors working in various Arab countries since the 1930s. Porath contrasts this with the Palestinian Arabs’ flight of 1948 as completely different. He describes the outcome of the Palestinian’s flight as an “unwanted national calamity” that was accompanied by “unending personal tragedies”. The result was “the collapse of the Palestinian community, the fragmentation of a people, and the loss of a country that had in the past been mostly Arabic-speaking and Islamic. ”

Registered Palestinian Arab refugees are assisted by UNWRA in 59 registered camps, 10 of which were established in the aftermath of the Six-Day War in 1967 to cope with new Palestinian refugees.

Being the only refugees in the world to be mainly inherited, including unregistered, displaced persons and refugee descendants, the Palestinian Arab refugee and displaced population has grown to be the second largest in the world, after an estimated 11,000,000 Syrians displaced by the Syrian Civil War. They are also the world’s oldest unsettled refugee population.

On 11 December 1948, the UN General Assembly in non-binding Resolution 194, Article 11 resolved that the refugees who wish to “live at peace with their neighbors … should be permitted” to return to their homes at the “earliest practicable date” This forms one basis for the Palestinian political claim for a Palestinian right of return.

The World will not take the Palestinian cause seriously until Palestinians and Arabs do so; this will mean, that all Palestinians and Arabs must wake up; they must rise as lions, they must physically converge upon Palestine with the intention of reclaiming that which is rightly theirs, they must even just walk and march, if no means of transport is available, in large numbers, they must physically take themselves back to their rightful homes and possessions. This is a big ask, but the prize for success could not be larger; you will face extreme opposition to your return, there will be bullets bombs and explosives used to stop you, many will die, BUT, have we not noticed, many have been dying, over just the last fifty years, and that will continue for the next fifty years, unless Palestinians and Arabs rise-up and honour their Nations history, proven and endured in peace for these many millennia past; Rise-up I say, and caring people of the World will rise up with you. Do not pause because you think President Trump will be your saviour, he will not, he is a false prophet. We have witnessed the recent invasions of refugees into Europe from the Middle East; did you notice? they could not be stopped, they marched single mindedly with one intention, to live somewhere else, and they have succeeded. Palestinians and Arabs must emulate that example, go peaceably, but go, go in the supreme certainty that your cause is just, and go in the knowledge that “Ye are many and they are few”. If your current leaders will not organise and support this, then, they are not worthy, get some new ones who will. You must also realise, this message is the last “call”, the last chance to establish your future survival. Amen.

“We have the following three requests from the Palestinian president”
On November 7, the pro-Hamas Filastin al-An daily carried the following piece by Fayez Abou Shamaleh: “We are the people who suffered from the scourges of the occupation and are waiting in the grey zone where the only weapons controlling Gaza are the weapons of the Resistance and all its organizations, and where the only weapons controlling the West Bank are those of the settlers and the Israeli intelligence services. In this situation where the Authority is so absent, we request that three positions be taken by the Palestinian president, three positions that will make us support him, cheer for his life, walk behind him and weave the letters of his name into a Palestinian flag.

“First: The president must tell the whole world: there will be no acknowledgment of Israel. Israel is practicing terrorism on a daily basis and it is not acknowledging the Palestinians’ rights and has turned its back on the Oslo agreement, which included the clause of the acknowledgement.
Second: The president must tell the entire world: There will be no security coordination and I will commit to the decision of the PLO’s central council. We, Palestinians, won’t serve as guardians of the Israelis security while Israel is violating the land.
Third: The president must tell the whole world: Yes to all forms of Palestinian resistance. The people living under the occupation have the right of resisting to the occupiers using all available means of self-defense.

“The above three requests reflect the roots of the Palestinian people’s suffering, and the roots of the division. These are the main elements of all the Palestinian differences, differences in points of views, conflicts and sensitivities. These three positions will be sufficient to push the Palestinian arena away from division and into agreement, and from differences to reconciliation, and from confusion to straightness, and from ignorance to piousness, and from dismantlement to unity.

Political analyst Fayez Abu Shamaleh writes for Middle East Monitor:

“The Palestinian reaction to the decision of the Israeli defence minister to grant 800 settlers in the centre of Hebron independence from the municipality of Hebron was weak and did not match the action taken by the Israelis. The Ramallah government warned against the fierce settlement attack waged by the Israeli government, through which it seeks to end any chances to revive the political process and end any trace of the international efforts in this regard. Warnings no longer scare Israel and it will not stop settlement expansion. Furthermore, the content of the warning exposed the Ramallah government, showing that its concerns are limited to maintaining the peace process, far from the Palestinians’ angry reaction and the resistance of settlements. […]

“the danger of the new arrangement in Hebron has gone beyond allowing settlers to receive municipal services directly from the Israeli civil administration (the civil branch of the Israeli Defence Ministry in the Palestinian territories), but rather gives the settlers strong local authorities and powers that can, in the future, be an alternative to the Hebron municipality. This is what happened before 1948, when the British colonial powers helped the Jewish communities to create alternative local councils and reduce the services provided by the Palestinian local councils, thus paving the way for the loss of Palestine and the establishment of Israel.

“Condemnation, renunciation, refusal and urging the international community to intervene are not enough. This is cheap and foolish talk used by the government, leadership and organisations to fool the people, especially since it is Palestinian land that is being targeted. This is the core of the conflict that is being lost before the eyes of the world. Therefore, what we need is a serious Palestinian position regarding settlements and an effective positon on the ground that disturbs the actions of the settlers, wrecks their plans and imposes a new equation on the ground. Anything other than this is a lie and hogwash.”

There was a headline a couple of weeks ago which is starting to make some sense.

U.S. quietly let hundreds of ISIS fighters flee Raqqa

A secret deal reportedly allowed some of the most notorious ISIS fighters to escape from a besieged Syrian city with their weapons. CBS News partner BBC News says 250 fighters were permitted to leave Raqqa. They got out with 3,500 family members to ISIS-controlled territory. According to the report, their convoy included nearly 50 rented trucks, 13 buses and more than 100 ISIS vehicles. Ten trucks were loaded with weapons.

The BBC says the U.S. and British-led coalition knew about the deal, brokered by Syrian Democratic Forces, and monitored the exodus.

The world was told only a few dozen local fighters were being let go, no foreigners and no weapons, reports BBC News’ Quentin Sommerville. But the trucks were crammed full of fighters, some wearing suicide belts. All were heavily armed.

As is becoming more widely known, Obama was a big supporter of ISIS. As the US effort in Syria in Syria is winding down (maybe) Israel appears to be the new best buddy of ISIS. Hence this new headline.

Israel could rely on ISIS to contain Iranian expansion – Israeli intelligence-linked report

    ISIS to the rescue

But Israel is hoping that the alliance of Sunni populations, Islamic terrorists, major world powers, will combine with regional chaos to prevent what it regards as the most dangerous scenario.

I’d predict my two Indiana Senators will start using ‘lip glue’ regarding ISIS – either saying nothing or starting to praise the head-choppers. After all, they represent Israel a hell of a lot more than they do me.

In the US, of course, joining in on an type of boycott has become illegal (but that doesn’t mean that individual citizens of the US cannot refuse to purchase anything made in Israel (including made in Palestine by Israelis).
So for now, it is up to individuals (or discreet groups) to do their part against this apartheid that Israelis have brought upon the world. The US is guilty as well as Israel in this babarism against the Palestinians.

    One of the aspects of Zionism which has remained in the shadows – in large part due to complicit media – is the extensive collaboration which existed between the Zionist leadership and high-ranking instances of the Third Reich. See Edwin Black, The Transfer Agreement: The Untold Story of the Secret Pact Between the Third Reich and Jewish Palestine; Lenni Brenner, Zionism in the Age of the Dictators;

Inverted Hasbara (false flag “anti-Zionist”) frequently conflates historical fact and legitimate historical controversies with “anti-Jewish” conspiracy theories, “Holocaust denial” material, and sensationalist assertions of “extensive collaboration” between Zionist leaders and Nazis in the destruction of European Jews.

The term holocaust comes from the Greek holokaustos: holos, “whole” and kaustos, “burnt offering”, “a sacrifice or offering entirely consumed by fire”. Later it came to denote large-scale destruction or slaughter.

The biblical term shoah, meaning “destruction”, became the standard Hebrew term, first used in a pamphlet in 1940, for the genocidal murder of the European Jews.

The Holocaust or Shoah refers to to the persecution and murder of Jews by the Nazis and their collaborators between 1933 and 1945.

Various historical controversies exist concerning Jewish persecution during the Nazi era, and Jewish suffering unquestionably has been exploited for financial and political gain by Jewish organizations and the state of Israel.

Edwin Black is a Jewish-American syndicated columnist who investigated the history of relations between the Nazi regime and German-Jewish Zionists. Black is author of The Transfer Agreement: The Dramatic Story of the Pact Between the Third Reich and Jewish Palestine (1984), IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance between Nazi Germany and America’s Most Powerful Corporation (2001), War Against the Weak: Eugenics and America’s Campaign to Create a Master Race (2003), Nazi Nexus: America’s Corporate Connections to Hitler’s Holocaust (2009), The Farhud: The Arab-Nazi Alliance in the Holocaust (2010). Black claims that Zionist collaboration with the Third Reich sabotaged an effective Jewish boycott and ultimately became a major cause of the Nazi Holocaust. Black’s books have been employed in Conventional Hasbara (overtly pro-Israel) propaganda efforts to exploit Jewish suffering under the Nazis to advance Israeli Zionist interests, and have been used in anti-Arab propaganda campaigns. Black has been criticized for veering into pseudo-history, downplaying Zionist Jewish terrorism and Zionist appeals to fascism.

Israel Shamir is an Inverted Hasbara (false flag “anti-Israel” / “anti-Zionist” / “anti-Jewish”) propaganda writer who employs several aliases.

Ben Hecht is a Conventional Hasbara (overtly pro-Israel / pro-Zionist) propaganda writer who openly supported the campaign of terrorist violence waged by underground Zionist groups (the Haganah, Irgun, and Lehi) in Palestine. an American Zionist screenwriter, director, producer, playwright, and novelist, Hecht was a member of the Bergson Group, an Irgun front group in the United States run by Peter Bergson, which was active in raising money for the Irgun’s activities and disseminating Irgun propaganda. His most controversial action during this period was writing an open letter to the Jewish insurgents in May 1947 which openly praised underground violence against the British. It included the highly controversial passage: “Every time you blow up a British arsenal, or wreck a British jail, or send a British railroad train sky high, or rob a British bank, or let go with your guns and bombs at the British betrayers and invaders of your homeland, the Jews of America make a little holiday in their hearts.” He wrote Perfidy (1961) about the 1954–1955 Kastner trial in Jerusalem. In 1964, at Hecht’s funeral service in New York City, among the eulogists was former Irgun commander Menachem Begin.

I would like to know how someone like Davidson is actually able to obtain degrees, consider himself an expert on segregation, ethnic cleansing and the immoral comparison of Israel to that of South African Apartheid and actually get paid for fabricating and embellishing lies.. If Mr. Davidson was a true historian, he would not leave out the continued effort to ethnically cleanse Jews from this world since the beginning of history. Europe, especially England notably conquered and divided creating the ethnic divide of many countries including India/Pakistan and that between the Arabs and Jews. The corruption of politics against Israel has been a continued effort to destroy Israel.

If Mr. Davidson was a true historian, he would speak the historic truth about world Jewry. European Jews were not Indigenous to Europe but were driven there through cultural genocide which Europe was responsible for.

Cultural genocide by Israel against Muslims, my clavicle.

“According to the Pew Research Center in 2010, there were 50 Muslim-majority countries. Around 62% of the world’s Muslims live in the Asia-Pacific region (from Turkey to Indonesia), with over 1 billion adherents.”

“According to a 2010 study and released January 2011, Islam has 1.5 billion adherents, making up over 22% of the world population. According to the Pew Research Center in 2015 there were 50 Muslim-majority countries.”

What is Davidson really talking about?

There is enough land on this planet for Muslims, Christians and Jews. The Jewish people are entitled to that tiny spec of land. Muslims and Christians dominate the planet. Now others are waking up to complain about true cultural genocide and appropriation of that history.

There is nothing worse than a self hating Jew as if world Jewry does not have enough haters. Shame on you Mr. Davidson.

The Jews are entitled to land-grab and take over what belongs to other peoples? I think you are on the wrong track on that statement. The Israeli people, if they had a choice, would not be doing what their leaders are: engaging in apartheid – and going against international law. Netanyahu got into office by promising that there would be 2 states: Israel and Palestine….he lied to get into office. A true student of Hitler.

Mary, the “Israeli people” are totally behind what their leaders are doing. If Netanyahu made a public statement that he favored two states, it was understood by all that he was speaking only to the US and Europe.

I believe we can agree that the “JG” guy is a propagandist, and not a very good one. Blatantly declaring that Israel has the right (“entitled to that tiny spec of land”) to steal and murder and ethnically cleanse is pretty over-the-top. Usually they dance around the subject.

Very few commenters here ascribe many maladies to zionists, and none ascribe them to Jews.

But nearly all present US foreign policy maladies are correctly attributed to the zionists, many of whom are not Jews. If they were gone, we would still have the MIC to bring under control, but it would have few excuses not already found to be false.

So lets not give zionists an excuse to hind behind their usual false claims of persecution.

The late great Helen Thomas proposed the only workable solution:

“White House press corps dean Helen Thomas — on the day that the White House hosted a Jewish Heritage Celebration, no less — said that Jews who live in Israel should “get the hell out of Palestine” and go “home. When asked where home was for Israeli Jews, Thomas offered “Poland, Germany… and America and everywhere else” from which the founding generation of the State of Israel originally hailed.”

  15. November 28, 2017 at 08:37

When Zionism was founded it was a well known reaction to a phenomenon which, among other, made the Saints leave the Netherlands, eventually for America. Beginning in the early 19th century young Jews got more interested in political issues and debate than arguing the Talmud. Karl Marx was among them. It was no accident that both the socialist and communist movements attracted scores of young Jews. Early Zionism was more about this than about a longing to return to Israel.
Russian Jews opted for the USA by the millions even though the Ottoman Empire might have accepted them as immigrants as it did in 1492 with the Sephardi Jews.

An interesting account of Veblen’s typically contrarian take on the unintended effects of creating an exclusively Jewish state:

In 1918, sociologist Thorstein Veblen was commissioned by a popular magazine devoted to American Jewry to write an essay on how Jewish “intellectual productivity” would be changed if Jews were given a homeland. At the time, Zionism was becoming a potent political movement, and the magazine editor assumed that Veblen would make the obvious argument: A Jewish state would lead to an intellectual boom, as Jews would no longer be held back by institutional anti-Semitism. But Veblen, always the provocateur, turned the premise on its head. He argued instead that the scientific achievements of Jews — at the time, Albert Einstein was about to win the Nobel Prize and Sigmund Freud was a best-selling author — were due largely to their marginal status. In other words, persecution wasn’t holding the Jewish community back — it was pushing it forward.

The reason, according to Veblen, was that Jews were perpetual outsiders, which filled them with a “skeptical animus.” Because they had no vested interest in “the alien lines of gentile inquiry,” they were able to question everything, even the most cherished of assumptions. Just look at Einstein, who did much of his most radical work as a lowly patent clerk in Bern, Switzerland. According to Veblen’s logic, if Einstein had gotten tenure at an elite German university, he would have become just another physics professor with a vested interest in the space-time status quo. He would never have noticed the anomalies that led him to develop the theory of relativity.

    https://www.wired.com/2009/12/fail_accept_defeat/all/1/

75 years after Veblen made that claim, the late Eric Hobsbawm confirmed the gist of his prediction:

Why, one might ask, has the Jewish contribution to the wider world of Western culture and knowledge been so much more marked in some regions than in others? Take the Nobel Prizes in the serious sciences. Of the 74 British prizes, 11 were won by Jews, but, with one possible exception, none of them was born in Britain. Of the 11 Russian prizes won since 1917, six or seven went to Jews, presumably all natives of the region. Until 2004, no Nobel Prizes in science had been won by Israeli researchers in any country, although Israel has one of the highest outputs per capita of scientific papers: 2004, however, produced two, one native-born and one born in Hungary. On the other hand, two or perhaps three have been won since Israel became independent by members of the modest Lithuanian-Jewish population of South Africa (c.150,000), though all outside that continent. How are we to explain such striking differences?

    https://www.lrb.co.uk/v27/n20/eric-hobsbawm/benefits-of-diaspora

Diaspora Jews gave the world towering figures like Einstein, Marx, and Freud (and a long list of artists, scientists, literary geniuses, etc., etc.). Israel in it’s 70+ years has given the world, the spoon-bender Uri Geller (who, I was astounded to discover is still a beloved public figure in Israeli society as recounted in Annie Jacobsen’s latest book that goes over investigations into extra-sensory phenomena by DoD agencies during the Seventies).

Israeli society is programmed to produce brainwashed settlers whose racism makes Apartheid South Africa seem mild by comparison (google accounts of visit to “Holy Land” by South Africans such as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Ronnie Kasrils, etc.)

Daniel Bar-Tal, a renowned Israeli political psychologist who has conducted some of the most comprehensive surveys of Israeli attitudes since Operation Cast Lead, found that the racist, authoritarian trends that are increasingly pronounced in Israeli society are products of a “psycho-social infrastructure” dedicated to promoting “a sense of victimization, a siege mentality, blind patriotism, belligerence, self-righteousness, dehumanization of the Palestinians and insensitivity to their suffering.”

    http://mondoweiss.net/2010/12/never-again-elderly-palestinian-women-called-“whores”-on-yad-vashem-tour-while-racism-explodes-across-israel

It’s no mystery why such a messed up society has a hard time producing a garden variety Nobel prize winner in Physics, much less someone who could be called a worthy heir to an Einstein or a Feynman.

The pressure of discrimination does lead to recognition that one must live by one’s wits, which leads to intellectual concentration. But we should also recall that Jews are given disproportionate prominence because they own and control the mass media, directly and/or indirectly, and almost never cite or hire anyone beneficially but other Jews. So a Jewish person who does anything significant is soon heralded as the principal pioneer in the field, and people assume incorrectly that the press would not lie.

Einstein was one of many early theorists in relativity and nuclear physics; the others are known only to a few.
Freud was no more than a turn-of-the-century snake oil salesman: none of his ideas has any objective reality; they are merely sold by Jewish publishers and echoed by naive or opportunist academics and students.
Marx was neither the first nor the last theorist of class structures, but only he is celebrated by Jewish publishers and opportunists.

Also note that many Jews have had the leisure time to theorize due to middle class incomes based upon interest and rents, uncommon in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and such incomes are based upon fooling people, whom they necessarily and almost universally regard with contempt.

No more wars FOR ISRAEL. Instead, let’s wage war ON ISRAEL and wipe these evil snakes off the face of the planet.

The US attacking Israel is simply impossible. That little hemorrhoid of a nation is a nuclear power, and has the means to deliver those nukes. If the US attacked Israel with nukes – if anybody attacked Israel with nukes – I wouldn’t blame them for retaliating.

On the other hand, if Israel attacks anybody with nukes, I sincerely hope they get a suitable payback themselves.

It is very possible that they do not have nukes. But if they do, they can be invaded by jihadists fighting door to door. Otherwise few would regret a nuclear first strike against the fascist state of Israel, which would set the stage for restoration of democracy in the US. These are likely ultimate outcomes, and the sooner the better.

I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning!!

And a short memo the US government; the American people have gotten sick and tired of US aid, both financial and military, “never being enough” for this wretchedly apartheid, self-declared theocracy with nuclear weapons which is what Israel has become in the 21st century.

As you are aware (or should be aware) all aid to Israel is completely illegal under the Symington Amendment, which prohibits any aid from going to a nuclear armed country which refuses to become signatory to the NNPT, and refuses to have its nuclear facilities inspected.

Israel comes in at a big fat zero-compliance on both issues, so what is the deal here, please?!?

The victim card has been played once too often by an Israeli government which spits in the face of US officials, and tells them it’s raining.

And did I mention serial genocide against the Palestinians, coupled with brisk annexations of property in the West Bank and East Jerusalem? The Israeli government will not listen to anything approaching a two state solution; it wants territory, and to get rid of as many Palestinians as it thinks it can, and by any means necessary.

It is high time for all US aid, both military and financial, to stop now, because this is the only language the Israeli government understands.

No more wars for the crap hole state of Israel. And, that is PRECISELY what this greasy neocon obsession to drag the US military into Syria is all about.

No more wars FOR ISRAEL. Instead, let’s wage war ON ISRAEL and wipe these evil snakes off the face of the planet.

Article II. – What the Talmud Teaches About Christians

In the preceding chapter we saw what the Jews think of the Founder of the Christian religion, and how much they despise his name. This being so, it would not be expected that they would have any better opinion about those who follow Jesus the Nazarene. In fact, nothing more abominable can be imagined than what they have to say about Christians. They say that they are idolaters, the worst kind of people, much worse than the Turks, murderers, fornicators, impure animals, like dirt, unworthy to be called men, beasts in human form, worthy of the name of beasts, cows, asses, pigs, dogs, worse than dogs; that they propagate after the manner of beasts, that they have diabolic origin, that their souls come from the devil and return to the devil in hell after death; and that even the body of a dead Christian is nothing different from that of an animal.

WHAT THE TALMUD TEACHES ABOUT CHRISTIANS
    http://www.talmudunmasked.com/chapter8.htm

    1. IDOLATERS

Since Christians follow the teachings of that man, whom the Jews regard as a Seducer and an Idolater, and since they worship him as God, it clearly follows that they merit the name of idolaters, in no way different from those among whom the Jews lived before the birth of Christ, and whom they taught should be exterminated by every possible means.

This is best demonstrated by the names they give to Christians, and by the unmistakable words of Maimonides which prove that all who bear the name of Christian are idolaters.(42a) And anyone who examines Jewish books which speak of the “Worshippers of the Stars and Planets,” “Epicureans,” “Samaritans,” etc., cannot but conclude that these idolaters are none other than Christians. The Turks are always called “Ismaelites,” never idolaters.

    (42a) Vide Infra. ch. II, p. 42

    2. CHRISTIANS WORSE THAN THE TURKS

Maimonides in Hilkoth Maakhaloth (ch. IX) says:

“It is not permitted to drink the wine of a stranger who becomes a convert,(43) that is, one who accepts the seven precepts of Noah, but is permitted to gain some benefit from it. It is allowed to leave wine alone with him, but not to place it before him. The same is permitted in the case of all gentiles who are not idolaters, such as the Turks [Ismaelites]. A Jew, however, is not permitted to drink their wine, although he may use it to his own advantage. All the best known Rabbis agree on this. But since Christians are idolaters, it is not allowed even to use their wine to advantage.”

    (43) There are two kinds of Jewish converts; some are called Gere Tsedekh, converts to justice, who embrace the Jewish religion and accept the whole law of Moses, not for external reasons only, but for the glory of God and for the sake of true religion; others are called Gere Toschabh, convert strangers, who are neither circumcized nor baptized, and who observe only certain laws, namely those given to the sons of Noah, which are: (1) Justice; (2) Praise of God; (3) Shunning idolatry; (4) about fornication; (5) the shedding of blood; (6) Rape; (7) not touching an animal’s organ. Is Israel just an instrument/scapegoat of US and British Foreign policy. For all the scorn being heaped upon them, Israel was a concoction of the British Empire to divide the Arabs. Given the respective histories, I find it hard to believe that by removing Israel, the world would happily return to singing Kumbayah. There seems to be a dearth of coverage of these topics, and it prevents one from looking at the big picture of 20th century war crimes.

Yep. The Hasbara troll army definitely is gettin’ busy:

      “Bernia”
      “turk 151”
      “JW”
      “WC”
      “Igor Slamoff”

Comrade “fuster” is warming the bench for now.

Inverted Hasbara (false flag “anti-Israel / “anti-Zionist”) propaganda troll “Paranam Kid” is laying low and playing nice, temporarily refraining from hurling his favorite four-letter epithet.

“Israel’s Stall-Forever ‘Peace’ Plan” (Sep 23, 2017), comrade “Paranam Kid” shouted: “FYI the Zionists who infested Palestine & proceeded to fraudulently create Israel were AshkeNAZI Jews”

In the comments for “How Syria’s Victory Reshapes Mideast” (Sep 30, 2017), “Paranam Kid” shouted: “the one country in the world I hate with a passion is Israel”

There is indeed a factual basis for comparison of certain Israeli and Zionist policies with the genocidal actions of the Nazis. Even senior officials in the military and government in Israel have acknowledged such concerns about specific Israeli policies.

But the comments of “Paranam Kid” on this and other sites – which include open admission of “hate” – indicate that this such epithets are not a merely the “passion” of a “strong critic”.

“Paranam Kid” has specifically targeted websites like CN, Mondoweiss, Foreign Policy Journal, +972, and TruthDig with his “passion”: frequent troll comments mostly consisting of loud condemnations of the ever nefarious “AshkeNAZI Jews”, “Zionazis”, and “the Jews” generally, with plenty of “hatred” for Israel.

In short, Inverted Hasbara troll “Paranam Kid” has been operating as a conspicuous false flag poster child for “hate speech” – one of many Inverted Hasbara propaganda operatives busy generating examples of “hate” for “Israel, Zionism and the Jews” that judges or officials can wave before passing legislation to “regulate” the alleged problem of “widespread” online “hate speech”.

The term “Ziofascist” just doesn’t have quite the same Inverted Hasbara propaganda punch, darn it.

      Hasbara trolls seldom operate alone.

There are always plenty of Hasbara troll army comrades ready to complain about “incessant scapegoating”.

Interesting to note, the term “Ashke-Nazi Jews” has its origin in Israeli political culture.

Inverted Hasbara (fake “anti-Israel” and false flag “anti-Zionist”) propaganda capitalizes on the “banalization of Hololocaust rhetoric” in Israeli national identity discourse.

Cultural historian Steven Aschheim noted that right wing Israeli settlers in occupied Palestinian territories after 1967, vehemently uttered the “nazi” epithet at both Arab Palestinian residents and the Israeli military:

“paradoxically, the same right-wing settlers who most dramatically annexed the Nazi analogy in the struggle against the Arabs, hurled that very accusation against their own army and the Israeli soldiers sent to control their demonstrations and illegal activities in the occupied territories”
      – Culture and Catastrophe: German and Jewish Confrontations with National Socialism and Other Crises (1996), pg. 26

The use of “nazi” rhetoric, “racist” epithets and “hate” discourse occurs not only among Zionist extremists in Israel and illegal settlers in occupied Palestinian territory, but also among “supporters of Israel” in the United States:

backwardsevolution recites the history of the Jewish movement, but my point is the 1st Zionist Congress formalized the development of a technology that used emotion to activate a communications network(see my post above). This emotion activated network enabled the bankers that funded the Jewish Zealots at the so-called Jewish congresses to use the Jews and the nearly universal Jewish persecution as a means to establish a network that could communicate in a subliminal, hidden, and beneath the radar, emotion coded protocol. Communication in transparent fashion across and into the nations of the world was an essential need to organize, coordinate, and concentrate Jewish power wherever in the world it was or is needed.
Yes, yes, i agree with your history, the weakened state of England, the Jewish think tank executives, and the story of how the Jewish bankers managed the politics of the newly immigrated JEWISH immigrants in 1908-1919 America to satisfy the urgent British need to source American help for war exhausted England. So how did the bankers manage to get American help against America’s will of most Americans? WWI was essential to the bankers; they were looking for a way to acquire, produce and profit from the oil and gas in the middle east, the Balfour Agreement accomplished that mission, and eventually it produced Israel. History accepted, the point is, that the emotion activated network (EAN) was a technological development that allowed bankers to plan, institute, and accomplished the outcomes that provide the history you quote. Israel is but one outcome of Zionism, but neither Israel nor its government or its leadership are Zionism while there may be among them Zionist. Focusing on Israel will set back dealing with Zionism by many years.

Yeah, there is no going back Mr Davidson. The best solution is an organized migration of Arabs from mandate Palestine to the surrounding nations – Jordan, Syria, and Iraq. Reversing the situation requires too much suffering compared to continuing on the current path. Remember that in South Africa and Rhodesia it was the true minority status of the white Africans that made the political reversal acceptable to the international community. That is not the case in Israel and given the Israeli birth rate never will be. So given that reversal is not possible what are next best solutions – emigration seems logical and inevitable.

An excerpt of the “explanation” why Zionists are entitled to steal land and abuse/murder the inhabitants there:

There’s an anecdote about Saddam Hussein visiting a prison, where he saw some guards beating a Jew. He told them “Do not touch that man!” Saddam Hussein later had the Jew’s fortune returned to him and arranged for his emigration to Israel.
          How come?
When Saddam Hussein as a boy peddled cigars in downtown Baghdad, that man, a prosperous businessman, had been one of his customers and had always given the boy generous tips.

The bafflegab from this was extracted makes no sense except for as a method of confusing the issue. Or another way of putting it – throwing sacks of **** at the fan.

        THE”REAL DEAL”

Many words of probity indeed. The real solution would be
the conquering of israel and the return of Palestinians who so wish
to their homelands. Before the invasion of foreign Zionists. The
Zionists could “immigrate” back to Europe or to New York
City.(The younger Palestinians often wish to leave, continjue with
their careers in Europe such as Germany, France etc. don’t
        blame them….)

As my reference to a meeting of September 9, 1941 (above)
there is no reason for “Arabs” (Palestinians) to emigrate
        at all.

Of course …elinminating “Israel” will not happen..

The Israel propagandist reminds us that the Israelis are breeding like flies. From a link:

Israel’s birth rate, the highest in the developed world and once seen as a survival tactic in a hostile region, could be its undoing unless measures are taken to reverse the trend.

The average Israeli woman has three babies in her lifetime, nearly double the fertility rate for the rest of the industrialised countries in the OECD.

That, accompanied by heavy Jewish immigration from the former Soviet Union, has seen Israel’s population double in the last 25 years.

The birth rate is even higher among Israel’s Arab community and more than double among its ultra-Orthodox Jews, two groups that also have low participation in the workforce, dragging the economy down.

I think they plan to death-march the Israeli Arab “citizens” out of the picture, and the fanatical ultra-Orthodox Jews are going to be a majority someday. Religious crazies with nukes. What a pleasant thought.

“Reversing the situation requires too much suffering compared to continuing on the current path.”
I think it could be accomplished without massacre, rape and mayhem – unlike the dispossession of the Palestinian people.

Ari Shavit: According to your new findings, how many cases of Israeli rape were there in 1948?

Benny Morris: About a dozen. In Acre four soldiers raped a girl and murdered her and her father. In Jaffa, soldiers of the Kiryati Brigade raped one girl and tried to rape several more. At Hunin, which is in the Galilee, two girls were raped and then murdered. There were one or two cases of rape at Tantura, south of Haifa. There was one case of rape at Qula, in the center of the country. At the village of Abu Shusha, near Kibbutz Gezer [in the Ramle area] there were four female prisoners, one of whom was raped a number of times. And there were other cases. Usually more than one soldier was involved. Usually there were one or two Palestinian girls. In a large proportion of the cases the event ended with murder. Because neither the victims nor the rapists liked to report these events, we have to assume that the dozen cases of rape that were reported, which I found, are not the whole story. They are just the tip of the iceberg.

Ari Shavit: According to your findings, how many acts of Israeli massacre were perpetrated in 1948?

Benny Morris: Twenty-four. In some cases four or five people were executed, in others the numbers were 70, 80, 100. There was also a great deal of arbitrary killing. Two old men are spotted walking in a field – they are shot. A woman is found in an abandoned village – she is shot. There are cases such as the village of Dawayima [in the Hebron region], in which a column entered the village with all guns blazing and killed anything that moved.

The worst cases were Saliha (70-80 killed), Deir Yassin (100-110), Lod (250), Dawayima (hundreds) and perhaps Abu Shusha (70). There is no unequivocal proof of a large-scale massacre at Tantura, but war crimes were perpetrated there. At Jaffa there was a massacre about which nothing had been known until now. The same at Arab al Muwassi, in the north. About half of the acts of massacre were part of Operation Hiram [in the north, in October 1948]: at Safsaf, Saliha, Jish, Eilaboun, Arab al Muwasi, Deir al Asad, Majdal Krum, Sasa. In Operation Hiram there was a unusually high concentration of executions of people against a wall or next to a well in an orderly fashion. That can’t be chance. It’s a pattern.

My solution – pay the poor Palestinians to leave. Money raised around the world by Israel supporters is divided up mathematically and offered to each Palestinian family to leave. The money will be available for up to one year. Host countries that sign up for these poor refugees will receive something they do not receive from other poor refugees – refugees with spending money. Refugees can never return – passports and travel vouchers are one way out. Those who do not take the money (there will be a few) can be enveloped into Greater Israel with rights of full citizenship as other Arab-Israelis have. Amounts of money will depend on money raised but with wealthy Jews from around the world and others contributing, amounts per family could be as high as $75,000 per family. Hamas will fight it of course but the money will speak volumes to end the families’ cycle of poverty and get out to make a fresh start in another Arab country or even Western Europe.

Money raised around the world by Israel supporters…

Translated from Zionist-talk, that means the US taxpayers would be tapped for even more money.

I’ve got a better idea. Let the world’s Zionist billionaires take up a collection and buy out the illegal land-stealers who are acting like such thugs and goons on the West Bank. The’d return to the 1948-land-grab territory with huge sums of Zionist money “to make a fresh start”. Maybe there would be some of that billionaire money left over for reparations to the suffering victims of the Zionist crime spree.

Levantine and Palestinians are semites, All the vitriolic hatred and supremacist, racist behaviour that has been well documented and recorded that these white eastern Europeans descendants have demonstrated since the invasion of the semitic lands of the ME. We in the west stand back and do nothing. Well the Israeli’s were taught well by their anglo-zionist progenitors. Further more UN charter states categorically that occupying military force is against all International law further more the occupied people have a right to arm and resist their occupier. If you want to know why Jews have been ” persecuted” throughout history, read E. Michael Jones’ The Revolutionary Jew and His Impact on World History. Jews are responsible for usury, abortion, and pornography…they admit this in books they write for each other. Solzhenitsyn also wrote a revelatory book about Jews in Russia which US publishers refused to publish. Most problems the Jewish people have encounterd throughout history are due to their own sick, selfish, immoral, and predatory behavior.

While “to be accepted … Israel must … embrace … democracy accessible to all its people regardless of religion or ethnicity” a one-state solution will not work: Israelis would simply switch to internal judicial and economic apartheid.

A two-state plan in Palestine enforced by external powers is necessary, for at least three generations before any one-state plan could be viable. The situation there is far more polarized even than Ukraine: Palestinians would never be given equality; otherwise there would never have been an Israel. But the UN borders were not within its right to establish and do not make viable states.

    The two-state plan should recognize:
    1. The right of all persons to reside there who were resident by some prior date, or descended from refugees, based upon the difficulty of tracing injustice and the fact that most are innocent of wrongdoing;
    2. That any fair distribution will cause a temporary loss of resources for the Js, because resources were wrongfully taken, but will greatly improve their security;
    3. Each state must be planned to be viable in shoreline, ports, water, farm resources, roads, independent utility infrastructure, and residential, commercial, and industrial areas;
    4. Defense and police training should be UN supervised to prevent right wing militarism between factions; neither state may maintain military forces.

The combined assets should be apportioned fairly between the two state groups:
    1. The gross assets to be cataloged and verified at several points, including all offshore and hidden assets, infrastructure, real estate, equipment and personal property;
    2. A census to be taken as of some prior year, to prevent packing residents or distorting the asset picture;
    3. A generous DMZ of desert or farmland between the states is reserved for later distribution, securing bonds later distributed; the cost of development required to make each state viable in infrastructure and structures is taken from the total assets before distribution to the groups;
    4. Distribution of gross assets between the two groups must compensate for the Ps deprivation of opportunity to accumulate property, while the Js accumulated property based upon resources taken from the Ps;
    5. Relocations are subsidized, and stripping or wasting of assets taken is accounted and deducted from the group gross assets, and the owner penalized within the group;

The gross assets apportioned to each group are distributed within the group:
    1. A minimum share based upon age, and the balance distributed in proportion to each person’s prior assets relative to the group total assets;
    2. The distribution to each person is composed of shares in jointly held property (the DMZ etc.), residential or commercial real estate, or funds; those with homes and business property should retain that or obtain something similar in their destination state, and may owe a government mortgage if it exceeds their share, or receive a subsidy for planned renovation or construction. If they must relocate home or business, they are given choices by means of an agency allotment process, with subsidized relocation costs and financing for renovation and business equipment.

Of course, special compensation cases should be provided for those who were forced to live in refugee camps, suffered injuries, or are survivors of wrongful deaths. When the DMZ is partitioned after several decades of peace between the factions, the land may be sold and those with shares compensated or given mortgages on the land.

I remember watching this black professor (can’t remember his name) who got into trouble for saying that over half of the slave trade to South America and the Caribbean, and a great deal of the slave trade in the U.S. (out of Newport, Rhode Island and I believe Boston?) was run by Jews. These Jews had Spanish-sounding names as they had been expelled from Spain and Portugal, went to the Netherlands, and then onto the States.

The ships would leave U.S. harbors laden with barrels of rum. This rum was traded for slaves. These round-trips were very, very lucrative.

This professor said that everybody else who had been part of the slave trade (the Arabs, the Africans who sold their own people into slavery, the Americans, the Dutch) all admitted their culpability, but not the Jews. They refused to admit that they had any part in it, and they gave this professor a very hard time.

As stated numerous times. the key to change in Israel and its pointed effort to manipulate others to protect Israeli Jews is when the Jewish community itself fully grasps the danger of its current course. Where others can help is to direct their efforts to promoting a society of equal rights for all who live there. It is a straightforward effort based on the values we profess to believe in. I think there are many, many Jews who would agree with that.

  41. backwardsevolution
    November 26, 2017 at 20:27

I have read that in late 1800’s Germany, the Jewish people had virtually taken over Berlin: academia, courts, entertainment, banking, business. The German people greatly resented this as they felt THEIR culture was being threatened. There were talks even then between the German government and the Jews re a new homeland. A homeland in Kenya was even contemplated by the British, but rejected as the Jews wanted to return to their holy land.

“Chamberlain offered 13,000 square kilometres (5,000 sq mi) at Uasin Gishu (also spelled “Gwas Ngishu”), an isolated area atop the Mau Escarpment in modern Kenya.”

Jewish money and influence entered into World War I and helped bring about Germany’s demise.

“Few historians will acknowledge how close Great Britain came to losing World War I. Although the losses the Royal Navy and the Germany Navy inflicted on each other was essentially a draw, the German U-boat warfare was inflicting colossal losses on British cargo. Great Britain needed the United States’ help, so the Jews stepped in to help with American funding, but they wanted the Balfour Declaration in exchange for Jewish funding.

America’s resources of manpower and martial machinery was needed to tip the balance. But just as would be the prelude to US intervention in the Second World War, the Americans, for long heeding of the advice given by their Founding Fathers, were wary of getting into ‘foreign entanglements’.

This is where the leaders of world Zionism came in.

It was a simple bargain: If Jewish leaders such as Chaim Weizmann could call on the Jewish Diaspora in America to use their influence to bring the United States into the war to rescue a desperate situation, then Britain would do what it could to help bring to fruition the Zionist dream of a Jewish state in Palestine.

The ‘Balfour Declaration’ was part of this bargain.”

I’m sure this Jewish money and influence was not lost on Germany. And we all know what the Treaty of Versailles did to Germany. It broke it.

Then the Jews stepped in again during the 1930’s with their worldwide boycott of all German exports, bringing Germany to its knees. And then Jewish money and influence was used again to ensure Germany’s defeat in World War II.

“Other evidence of the bargain comes from correspondence between Churchill and Chaim Weizmann, a prominent leader of world Zionism. In a letter to Churchill which was dated September 10th 1941, Weizmann, while pleading for Churchill to establish a ‘Jewish fighting force’ that would have ‘our name and flag arrayed against [Adolf Hitler]’, wrote the following:

‘It has been repeatedly acknowledged by British Statesmen that it was the Jews who, in the last war, effectively helped to tip the scales in America in favour of Great Britain. They are keen to do it – and may do it – again.’

The Balfour Declaration was one of several bargains entered into by Zionists en route to the eventual declaration of the State of Israel in 1948. Another would be the controversial Haavara Agreement [or ‘Transfer Agreement’] with Nazi Germany entered into by German Zionists in the 1930s.”

Today we have the likes of George Soros and others using their money to reshape the world in their favor. The Jewish people have been asked to leave or have been expelled from over 100 countries in their history. Instead of always blaming everybody else, perhaps they need to take a good hard look at themselves.

    Else history will repeat.

For South Africa, I saw marching in the streets and dodged between lines of violent graphic struggle , hard and bloody.

For Israel, we are supplicant; in denial and in reverse. Phoenix type programs take care of true opposition, Yet, the importance of confronting the Israeli apartheid state and its enablers (911 is an inside job) and how supplication to it effects global consciousness, becomes ever more critical. The GOOGLE and FB programmers begin the censorship of History foretold by the Genius ORWELL. ‘The way back machine’ is now in the hands of malevolent ‘neoconazion,’ weaponizing every decent conversation held against its will.

Orwells work and his identification of the [REDACTED], is worth repeating.

1984 was constructed around the truth/lie dichotomy and ‘reversal’ of polarities…He reversed the polarity of Hate. Up was down. Truth was lie. Black, is white. Slavery is Freedom.
Thoughts of love and caring and JUSTICE, become impotent secrets to be hunted down and destroyed.
One had to adopt the lie as truth and then disallow its truth as ever having been a lie – flay it – from the memory block-chain as-if-it-had NEVER been. On pain of death.
And that is what Israel expects of us. To remove from History and our DNA the processes and expressions of justice and love and empathy- of HISTORY – that absolutely know-in-our-hearts, zionist/Israels’ presence in Palestine is a WAR CRIME.

In this reverse universe, Orwell presented the ‘Hero of the Resistance’ and identified him, by reversal, as the center of the Tyranny.

    1. Israel is but one result of network Zionism; there are many, many others. Judaism and Zionism are independents!
    2. Just as the viri, fungi or prion each have many different structural forms, many different life forms; and function, thrive or die: depending upon circumstance, environment and opportunity, so too do the live messages found within the network called Zionism.
    3. There are many forms, tricks, and circumstances that enable survival, infection, maturation, active or latent colony or infectious element formations as they distribute themselves by transfer from the source over the emotion network to emotion susceptible local host: each such message rendered becomes, nearly untraceable, because of short time to live defaults (subliminal some might say).
    4. In 1890s, Jewish persecution was selected as the carrier frequency (bankers transmit methods, coordinate elements, call for help and issue instructions to, by and between humans, over a network controlled by emotion). Every human alive is potentially susceptible to the bankers emotion controlled network. The network was labeled Zionism (the TCP/IP network is labeled Internet) Zionism is an ECP/EP [emotion control protocol/emotion protocol]; its a packet controlled, message delivery, emotion controlled network. Zionism communicates in the language of emotion. It connects different millions (at the same time) in a network dedicated to action and allegiance based on guilt and fear.
    5. Communications on the Zionist network depends on imagined, conjured, real, current and past, resentment and discrimination practiced at times against certain Jewish practices and certain Jewish communities by kings, nations, and civilizations; such practices have been used to pre-condition the global audience( propaganda has been canonized), and used as a language or message transmission protocol (as in transmission control protocol TCP/ Internet Protocol IP). (see Rothschild funded 1st Zionist Conference, Hertzl 1896).
    a. the network cards, or points allowing human infection are switched on(open) and off(protected) by emotions.
    b. the sensoriemotion system of every living human is a potential network interface, because it is delivered over the Zionist network by media, word of mouth, person to person social interaction, law, selected access to learning experiences, and throughout the institutions that deliver engineered historical knowledge[education].
    c. Culture, education, admissions policies, selection criteria and just about any other reward system has been used at times to foster,
establish, maintain, advance, promote the icon of Zion that arouses the emotions that open and shut the message on/message off gates.
    6. The language used in network Zionism was developed by bankers. It is a means to, always be in charge of, the important sources of profits where ever in the world. Israel is but a single example of the power of the Zionist network; Israel is a group of people either directly seeking, or as proxies are, seeking the oil, gas and other resources owned by the Arabs in the middle east. I look at Israel as an armed group which has succeeded to acquire nation state powers and to arrange to position itself exactly where the oil and gas profits can be made.
    7. In my view, BDS is such a narrow response, even if BDS succeeds beyond its wildest dream. The BDS impact on nixing the global nation state transparent, nearly invisible, highly interconnected, 24/7 human connected, emotion network, operated by those who already control everything is extremely minimal.

Pairing propaganda[Bernays] with digital logic and a packet-switched network protocol is an interesting construct. Of the 7 tetralogies of Plato and the 5 canons within the 3 branches of oratory[Corbett], I believe ‘memory’ may fall close to your mark, i.e. memory in the sense of triggering an emotional or programmed response. Public schooling and ‘Common Core’, in particular, has been criticized[John Gatto] as dumbing down and conditioning children with carrot and stick. I suppose the same could be said for parochial and missionary school, not necessarily with the same ends in mind. On Youtube, the BBC “Rhetoric In Our Time” is a good listen. Ditto for [Quintillian]. I never had the leisure to learn this at college; I was too busy worrying about college costs and getting a good paying job for the usual base reasons. Little did I know. Like many of us, I recall the promise of “work hard, you will prosper and make a better life for yourself and your family” and simultaneously being told, “Money is the root of all evil”, but absent the practical alternative for my small little world, or my slow-wittedness, the latter did not properly register in my mind. The inverse may very well apply to the more well-to-do on a sliding scale, or so one would like to think, but I lack substantial empirical evidence to support that claim.

fudmier – I’m still digesting what you’ve said. Intuitively, it makes sense. It’s something we can barely see, yet catch glimpses of, or, using deduction, we know must be there.

There MUST be a conductor(s) orchestrating all of this, a global elite that we don’t get to see, who have set up the emotional channels (a network) that mobilize the people whenever the global elite feel things need to move in a certain direction.

Follow the money. Those who own the media, entertainment industry, energy industry, telecommunications industry, banking, academia, the judiciary, politicians, the Federal Reserve are behind this network. This network is now trying to control speech and history.

What group is almost never called on the carpet, never disparaged by the above organizations? What group is protected, coddled?

What group strikes fear in the faces of politicians?

I too am in agreement with you that BDS would be like pouring a glass of water on a huge flame. Small potatoes compared to the network.

To know thy enemy, first you must be able to see him.

I think I see them now, and only because they have been forced to show their face.

How do you set about striking a stake through the heart of a giant?

In 1919 American philosopher/economist Thorstein Veblen wrote a rather prescient article entitled “the Intellectual Preeminence of Jews in Modern Europe” He was attempting to account for the inordinate number of Jews in academia and he concluded that being an educated minority in another culture granted Jews a healthy skepticism that granted them a greater ability to analyze societal issues.
This was published a little over a year after the Balfour Declaration and his comments on the subject of zionism I find interesting in the light of recent history. Here is an excerpt( the language is a bit archaic)

“As bearing on the Zionist’s enterprise in isolation and nation-
ality, this fable appears to teach a two-fold moral: If the
adventure is carried to that consummate outcome which seems
to be aimed at, it should apparently be due to be crowned with
a large national complacency and, possibly, a profound and
self-sufficient content on the part of the Chosen People domi-
ciled once more in the Chosen Land ; and when and in so far
as the Jewish people in this way turn inward on themselves, their
prospective contribution to the world’s intellectual output
should, in the light of the historical evidence, fairly be expected
to take on the complexion of Talmudic lore, rather than that
character of free-swung skeptical initiative which their rene-
gades have habitually infused into the pursuit of the modern
sciences abroad among the nations. Doubtless, even so the
supply of Jewish renegades would not altogether cease, though
it should presumably fall off to a relatively inconsiderable resi-
due. And not all renegades are fit guides and leaders of men
on the quest of knowledge, nor is their dominant incentive al-
ways or ordinarily the quest of the idle curiosity.”

I downloaded the Thorstein Veblen article and tried to determine whether or not he was a Zionist himself. In the course of looking I found a 1997 New Republic article full of total propaganda. Stuff about how Palestine was darned near empty, and how the Arabs had arrived later to cash in on the increasing prosperity from “Jewish economic activity”.

They’ve been literally recreating history with their endless propaganda. Won’t be long before youngsters will be able to easily uncover ONLY that Zionist propaganda, and will naturally assume it is based on reality.

      • November 26, 2017 at 21:19

Zachary,…Thorstein Veblen was not a Jew(despite his Jewish sounding first name). He was a Midwestern American of Norwegian extraction who was a prominent critic of the capitalism of the gilded age(he coined the term “conspicuous consumption”) He self taught himself several languages and believed that the pursuit of “disinterested learning” was the noblest pursuit of mankind. His interest in the prominence of Jews in academia was simply intellectual curiosity.

I have a friend (now deceased) whose family emigrated to Palestine from Russia in 1907 when she was three. She grew up in Palestine before WWI, and after that war, when England claimed Palestine as a protectorate, she married a British policeman who was stationed there. She was adamant that all the jewish emigres had bought their land from the Palestinians – that the land was not appropriated. I’m sure that in those early years that was true, but after WWII my friends left Palestine for Canada and then the US so she never really resided in Israel after 1945. She clung to the story that all the lands in Palestine and now Israel were purchased from Palestinian families. I don’t think, as she grew older, that she could really believe what had happened to the lovely country she grew up in. I think this is one of the ways Jews in America have blotted out what really was going on after the second world war when a large chunk of Palestine was created as Israel.

The same was said of the Bantu by the apartheid regime in South Africa. And Israel and the apartheid regime were huge buds! Johannesburg had the third largest Talmudists community in the world behind New York and tel aviv. As soon as apartheid fell and the blacks took government, these Talmudists scammed their money to other countries, and ran themselves.

In academia as well as corporations and news media, co-ethnics often support each other and work hard to control their group for mutual benefit. I have seen this among Jews, Catholics, Italians, and even among Spanish, Chinese, and Indians where they have some hope of controlling a group; some members of all groups do this.

For example, they typically cite mainly co-ethnics for good things, and never for bad things. They hire people of their own ethnicity whenever possible. They vote for co-ethnics and those promoting ethnic policies. In official capacities, they make extremely prejudiced decisions in favor of their own group.

In the US, this is nowhere so plainly true as among Jews, who almost never diverge from prejudice and abuse of office on behalf of their group. The only group that comes close is Italians in predominantly Italian communities. Jewish academics and editors almost never cite anyone but Jews except as an example of something bad (see even Ralph Nader’s articles). Jewish professionals give academic recommendations to other Jews whom they have never met before. Jewish publishers print endless trash by Jewish writers or about Jewish people, and even require Jewish co-authors to be listed who have nothing to do with a research article. So it is easy to see how they predominate in academe and elsewhere. No one else is nearly so conspiratorial.

They did this in pre-war Europe, looked down on locals and lorded it over them, etc. why was there a kristallnacht in Germany, as an example. Because the international Jewish cabal had Britain and others declare sanctions against pre-war Germany

I’ve been thinking all along that Israel is rather like a violently abused child who grows up to be a violent abuser. John asks how can they not see that their behavior toward Palestinians is similar to what they experienced in Fascist countries. I often wonder that myself.
I have many jewish friends and inlaws and I love them all, but I find it hard to talk to them about this because in my experience every one is sensitive to anti-semitism, so it’s hard to ask them about it. And for older jews, the days of serious, overt racism here in the US are not that far behind us. Days when certain housing areas were closed to jews, certain clubs, and numerous other types of exclusion were practiced, along with verbal abuse. After my father’s death, my mother married a lovely man who was a conductor and music arranger for TV and radio – he was Russian-jewish and a more generous person would be hard to find. My anger after discovering the type of exclusion I described above was enormous, but my step father just shrugged it off. He was used to it, but I also found that my new jewish relatives were also very sensitive to any sign from me of anti-semitism. After all they had whole heartedly accepted me into their family – they expected the same. I think this may be part of the reason we don’t hear loud denunciations of Netanyahu coming from the US jewish community. It saddens me that there isn’t a louder outcry, for I feel sure that the vast majority do not agree with his behavior, but the spector of anti-semitism still rears its ugly head and mutes an open discussion of what is happening.

I can relate to your comment. Trauma victims have a hard time seeing passed their need for self preservation. Their identity is too fragile to understand the harm they can do to others in trying to protect themselves from further harm.

At some point however, when a large number of people are shouting at you that your behavior mimics the behavior of your past tormentors, it’s time to put aside the defensive posture and listen up. Israel has been at that point for far too long. They will have to be forced through efforts like BDS.

What is it with the Jews that they engender such dislike and animosity among non Jewish peoples? The Pharaohs hated them, Pontius Pilate and the Romans hated them, the Germans hated them and now most of the Arabs of the middle East hate them! Since biblical times there seems to have some kind of problem with the Jewish race. I can understand their anxieties living surrounded by hostile Arab states but why do they want to control the whole world? One would think that after all these centuries it would have dawned on them that they need to change their ways and try to engender a much more tolerant and friendly aspect to people who are not of their faith and race. Their behaviour towards the Palestinian people is akin to their own suffering at the hand of the Nazis and its curious how they just don’t see this.

I had a look at the video you directed me towards, Brewer, and I have to say I found it hard going. Anyway, as far as I can see it wholly supports my own observations that the Jews are an introverted ruthless and cruel race of people when it comes to their own selfish self centred interests. However, it cannot be denied that the Jews have produced some marvelous people in the form of the arts and sciences and they have done this through an extra source of energy associated with their own history struggle and turmoil. Perhaps one way of looking at it might be… When you have made a beautiful cake from other people’s ingredients it is surely only right that you share the cake with those who gave you the means to make it?

          john wilson,
I think you are unfairly stereotyping “Jews” and portraying Jews as monolithic. That’s no more correct than demonizing all Iranians, calling Iran part of an Axis of Evil when Iran is a multicultural country of 80 million people.
When you dig a little deeper, some of the strongest critics of the atrocities that the Israeli government has perpetrated against Palestinians have been Jews. So it’s rather ridiculous to lump everyone together into one pot.

I think that racial identity is a little like personality. It depends on exactly where one wants to focus – on the negative or the positive, the inclusive or the exclusive.
The entire Judaic canon emphasizes separateness, persecution and some would say superiority yet I believe in the law of averages.
It is difficult to find an ethnic or religious group that has not been persecuted at some time. Almost all, however, do not cling to that injustice and use it to shield their own crimes against humanity.
          Just a few examples:
          Slavery
Persecution of Protestants, Muslims, Hugenots, Catholics – just about every religion you can name
          Hindu Kush
          Highland Clearances
          Ireland
          Belgian Congo
          Holodomor
          Dalit
Aztecs, Mayan, Aboriginal – in fact indigenous people everywhere- the list goes on and on.

Similarly, what is often forgotten is that there is rarely a period of History in which some Jews have not held enormous power and influence (Maimonides, St Paul, Disraeli, Rothschild, Trotsky, Weizmann, Kissinger, Sassoon Eskell etc.) and no-one seems to know about the centuries of “The Golden Age of Jewry” under Muslim rule. Who can doubt the enormous influence of Judaism and Judaics in Western politics today?

In the personal sphere, an individual is often not liked if they self-identify as “special” in some way – either having suffered more, achieved more, of superior intelligence or wealth. Jewish identity seems rooted in these false beliefs.

Excellent point, Brewer, about using one’s suffering to justify persecutions of others. I think that some of the voices, including Israelis who are speaking out against Israel’s brutality are making that same valid point.

And re: your last paragraph, two things:
            1. Politicians at the federal level, here in America, are using our “Exceptionalism” to make political points………

            2. On another note – no pun intended – MediciTV, the French classical performance on line service ( which btw is offering a 40% discount to new customers for a few days) has some wonderful performances by Van Cliburn, including his performance in Moscow to win the 1958 Tchaikovsky competition, and including a documentary on his life. His mother, interviewed for the documentary said that her son was raised to be grateful not proud.
He was though, in his modesty, an exceptional human being and incredible pianist as you may agree.
One more tidbit that I learned. The panel, which included Shostakovich, Gilels and Richter, had to ask Kruschev’s permission to give a non Russian the prize. Kruschev asked – “Is he the best? ….Give him the prize”
Hard to imagine Donald Trump being so honest and gracious and fair.

Egad man, Jews are not a “race”. It is a religion that is practiced by people from many different ethnic backgrounds. Jews are defined by observance or by the observance of their ancestors. Those ancestors have roots in many different “races” that make up the human race.

Ethnicity is more accurate because many born to the traditions do not practice the religion. But these are minor points because his claims do not depend upon technical definition of the group.

It is we, America, that wants world wide hegemony. I don’t dislike Jewish people. It’s Zionism that is the culprit in Israel, and in America it’s the belief in our exceptionalism. There are many who don’t believe the Jews were ever in Egypt,

The German’s also thought the Poles were an inferior lot, and 3 million of them lost their lives in WWII. Half of those in concentration camps. When they first came over to America they weren’t liked much either. We have always had an immigration policy of liking the Northern Europeans more then anyone else. I would disagree they are surrounded by Arabs who hate them, and those that do, usually dislike the state of Israel because of Zionist atrocities committed in Palestine which of course continues.

A few years ago I read a book by an Egyptologist named Donald Redford which briefly discussed the Old Testament story about the relations between the Egyptians and the various tribes in the distant east in Canaan. With the passage of time and the multiple layers of story-telling through the ages, it’s impossible for me to make any claim about what happened. There is probably a small kernel of truth to the old tales. Joseph might have been a especially talented prisoner of war. He also might have been a hostage of a tribal leader in Canaan being held in Egypt in relative luxury. And of course he may have never existed. Redford speaks of a nomadic tribe named the “Shasu” in Canaan. Like most groups living in marginal areas, it was quite willing to engage in raids at the slightest hint of weakness in a wealthy area. Kind of like the Apaches of the pre-Columbian era. Over time all sorts of additions would have been made to amplify and glorify the old tales. Sort of like with King Arthur and Robin Hood and Paul Bunyon. As for the Exodus itself, if there is a speck of actual evidence it happened as described, that evidence is being kept well hidden.

As for the difference between “Jews” and “Zionists”, I’m uploading a file of a 1975 letter from an American Jewish leader to an Arab Ambassador. The visual quality is pretty bad, but I prefer it to internet versions. It got “cleaned up” during periods when I was 1) bored and 2) wanting something to do while listening to music. :)

I found it to be quite informative.

Good point Annie. People need to distinguish between Zionism & Judaism, i.e. betwen a racist political ideology & a religion/culture.

I would disagree they are surrounded by Arabs who hate them, and those that do, usually dislike the state of Israel because of Zionist atrocities committed in Palestine which of course continues.

That is correct, and for many centuries Jews & Arabs lived side-by-side in peace & harmony, such as in Palestine itself. Today the love-hate situation is still true in many places, although things have changed, such as the Rogue Ziofascist Entity (RZfE) cuddling up to European extreme right-wing/fascist political parties, and v.v., Saudi-Arabia is in bed with the RZfE.

It is a remarkable history, although early Muslims and Christians interacted just as savagely, as in the Crusades.

One of the causes among Christians was that many Jews were traveling retailers, which was considered extremely immoral in medieval times: the idea of reselling a product without adding value seemed unspeakably evil to them, and they did not see transport or retail expenses as added value. So cultural differences led to stereotypes, leading to wrongdoing on both sides.

Another cause was that many Jews lived in tenements and used the tenement name as a surname (eg. Lowe = at the sign of the lion), or the mother’s surname, and other cultural variations that annoyed government authorities, who assigned them unflattering names (e.g. Dieb = thief) or descriptive names (Schwarz, Grau, Weiss = black, gray, white referring to beard color). Offensive names were later changed to more pleasant names (names of jewels or flowers like Ruben = ruby, Rosen = roses).

Cultural difference leads to isolation which leads to friction among the xenophobes and the ignorant on both sides of the fence, looking for excuses to believe that their side is the best, and that all wrongdoing must originate on the other side. That causes the extremists on both sides to commit wrongs against the others, reinforcing the stereotypes. The same thing occurs everywhere between groups kept separate but adjacent.

The zionists cannot admit that they are essentially fascist in reaction to fascism, just as the bully produces more bullies by example and defensive response. But all groups have their demagogues, creating or exaggerating threats from outside the group so that they can demand power within the group as fake protectors, and accuse their moral superiors of disloyalty. So when a group is bullied, its own demagogues bully the group to gain power.

The demagogue cannot retain power if there is no foreign threat, and must continue to provoke hostile responses. This is why the US MIC provokes war around the world, trying to create a right wing in peaceful countries to make mutual provocations to keep each other in power. So if the zionists made peace in the Mideast they would be history, and they know it.

If Israel had been founded in an isolated area without stealing land or using terrorist tactics, it would have made no enemies, and its demagogues would already be history. Places like the island of Chiloe off Chile were considered but apparently did not appeal to the religious demagogues.

Everyone is dependent upon their group in a closed community, for everything in life. Like those in Germany who dared not disagree with the minority Nazis after they gained power, Jews dare not disagree with the zionists.

Did you ever wonder why there are such racist proclivities in the first place when we are all part of the human race, and all descendant from a common ancestor? It’s not a subject I’ve really looked into. Certainly it can become a useful tool in mobilizing people to engage in wars against the “other” and the real motivation is to usurp land and resources. If you are going to use the other, as we did with Black slaves, to labor in your fields it’s more easily done if one perceives them as inferior. If you want to conquer the new world a papal bull will give you the right to do anything to the indigenous people who are non-Christians, and once again it’s about theft. I know from relatives who fought in the Vietnam war they were told to see the Vietnamese people as geeks, easier to kill them that way. I’m sure that’s part of it, but I’m sure there is much more to the history, and perhaps the biology of racism.

        • Sam F
          November 27, 2017 at 08:56

So far as I know the biological connection to prejudice is primarily the differences of appearance between groups, such as skin color and facial forms that seem to other cultures to suggest expressions or states of mind. But when children of all groups are raised together without stereotypes, they do not make such conclusions. Sometimes young children wonder whether there is a “reason” for some unusual trait, and are given either biology or racism in response.

Where ignorance is widespread, superstition and religion get involved, especially where religious officials have power and are in conflict with those of other religions. Primitive religions forbid nonconformity with their social dictates, and therefore other religions are at the top of their list of enemies. Because they are not rationally derived policies, they are not subject to diplomatic negotiation. The establishment of religion is a major error only recently recognized.

I recall an 1840 case in Maine where a man got home late at night and needed to explain this and his dirty clothing. His family were told that he had been tripped up at night in a farm field by a pig on the loose. So of course the explanation was that a witch (of modest aspirations) had sent the pig to trip him, and of course this must have been the lonely old woman in the village sometimes heard to mutter things to herself. Someone had speculated that she was muttering forbidden passages in the bible and therefore must be a witch. So of course it must have been her. No sooner had she sheltered some itinerant peddlers for the night, than it was widely concluded that they too must be of forbidden sorts, and they all had to flee the villagers for the Canadian border. So ignorant groups find scapegoats even if they are isolated and must invent them among their own kind.

@ “… they were told to see the Vietnamese people as geeks …”

Make that “gooks,” please. But we weren’t told that. When you’re placed in a position where you’re supposed to kill other people, the human psyche tends to dehumanize the enemy all by itself. It doesn’t need orders. So we had “gooks” in the Korean War too. And in World War I and II, we had “Huns” and “Jerrys.” And the native Americans were “bloodthirsty savages.” It’s a cultural thing unique to militaries.

I had lot of friends at work – technical field – during 1980’s and 90’s who were Jewish emigres from Soviet Union. Very interesting people, and I shared many interests and views with them. My wife’s younger sister is married to Jewish – nonpracticing – person and we have been very close to them for almost four decades now. One can not blame the entire community or people for all what is done in their name by their leaders.

However, there comes a time that more among Jewish community must raise their voices of what is happening in Israel and in the World. They have so much power and influence in American Politics and in all American Institutions. Look at the very long list – Kristol, Kagans, Perle, Wolfowitz, Elliot Abrams . . . . . It is clear that they are the main actors behind this “Full Spectrum Dominance” doctrine which is being implemented since 1991. And this crusade to implement this full spectrum dominance agenda has caused untold amount of death, destruction, and human suffering on the planet since 2001.

Harold Pinter’s – Jewish – Nobel Lecture in 2005, which he read from his death bed comes to my mind immediately:

“. . . It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn’t happening. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest. The crimes of the United States have been systematic, constant, vicious, remorseless, but very few people have actually talked about them. You have to hand it to America. It has exercised a quite clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It’s a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis. . . ”

This lecture should be published on the front page of New York Times and other papers. It was a very forceful Lecture.

A Senator from New York withdrew from being co-sponsor – presumably from a residual sense of shame. The rest of them are standing firm with the thieving and murderous little cesspool of an apartheid nation. Not a one of Israel’s Senators would hesitate to involve themselves in the activity described on an unaired SNL skit.

Both my Senators are totally in bed with Israel. Todd Young and Joe Donnelly will do whatever Israel asks them to do. But I notice they have no particular interest in doing anything for an Indiana taxpayer like myself.

Thanks to Zachary Smith for Congressional info….

The names of sponsors should always, always, always be provided.
As well, of course, as the specific bill number.

Is S.270 still a “live” bill or has it in reality been consigned to the
dungheap? Many bills are. They are introduced to satisfy constituents,
circulated in pride by those involved and then “forgotten”. Some “die in committee”.
Others may be overtaken by time and other Congressional (media and public)
        interests.

On the other hand, the very fact that a bill (or resolution) was drafted
may make it a simple thing to rescusitate it and tack it on to another
bill when outsiders are not noticing. There are ways of possibly finding
out but they require money, constant monitoring per telephone, and
such action may backfire. (Or may not???)

Thanks for the list of bribed traitors in the Senate. In Maine, Susan Collins would do anything for money, and gets elected in a Dem state only because uneducated women assume wrongly that she has not sold them down the river. In Florida, nearly everyone in government is a racketeer, firmly believes that this is the American Way, and will attack anyone who disagrees. The governor Rick Scott was CEO of the largest medicare fraud scam in history, and was literally made governor for that.

What a show of support for this Senate bill S. 720 ! The list is very long. Ron Wyden, the senator from Oregon, just a few days ago was bashing Russia as being a Fascist Country, and it was covered all over the MSM. Senator Wyden, being a Jewish should at least show some sense not to attach himself as a co-sponsor of this bill concerning Israel. Of course there are other Jewish senators on this list. The bill is a direct assault on democracy – whatever is left of this democracy. And they are bashing Russia!

You refer to the entity known as “Israel” as “the shithole nation of Holy Israel.” In fact, the entity referred to as “Israel” is neither a state nor a nation, i.e., it has yet to officially declare its borders and have them accepted as such by the international community.

No instead let our American government slide into disaster loans, such as what happened after hurricane Harvey, rules forbidding any association to the BDS movement. Unbelievable, but all too true.

America must not only disassociate itself from this racist Zionist regime who are now currently ruling over Israel, but America should do everything in it’s power to help the Native-American who have suffered so much over all of these centuries of the White mans domination.

These days will pass, as they always do, but will Americans and Jewish people be persecuted for all of their prejudiced wrongs?

Right wing revisionist Zionist extremists use the “idealistic solutions” / “perfect world” propaganda line to ‘splain’ there vile racism.

For example, “WC” was busy ‘splainin’ Israeli apartheid in the comments here:

I’ll give you 100 to 1 odds the same words came out of every crucified mouth that lined the road to Rome. And if basic human nature has NOT changed in 2000+ years, all of your efforts and that of your cohorts to promote progressive change will be lost to the winds of time. Where’s your plan for the Real World? So far, all I have seen is a bunch of glad handing, empty slogans and la la land idealism in an attempt to buy your emotional stairway to heaven. WC: racism is not realism. Your pals in Israel could have located where they would not be a problem, but they chose to cause serious problems for religious reasons. They could have worked within the rights and needs of the local population, as the Balfour declaration required, but instead they turned to terrorism and land theft. They could have learned from the Nazi experience that a nation can easily be controlled by extremists when its feels very defensive, but instead they followed exactly the path of their persecutors. Not an inspiring performance. Jewish people are not being criticized as a group when their extremist element is criticized.

WC, Israel has been making up things for a very longtime now, and if you should doubt that then just go ask a Palestinian, I’d you don’t believe me. There is also a very big difference for sticking up for your ethnicity over wiping out a whole other ethnicity, all because your side claims a historical right of eminent domain over the other ethnicity who has dwelled in that ‘said territory’ for so many centuries.

The White Europeans crushed the indigenous Native-American all in the name of ‘Manifest Destiny’, whereas the Zionist stole Palestine from the Palestinian all in the name of their Jewish God. Neither the Civilized White Man of who declared the Native-American to be but nothing more than for the indigenous of this land in America to be but violent savages, nor the Loss and the Wandering Zionist who came to drive the Palestinian out of their homes all hinged on a British Lords scribblings, are both but a proper sorry example of a self proclaimed selfish barbarism made to look as though that they are blessed by the one true God above to be the only civilized ones who may be honored to rule over this earth.

I’m hoping that more Jewish people flock towards such Jewish people as Miko Peled, and that Israel may become a true democracy representative of all of it’s various and diverse people.

Joe. Okay. Say I agree with all of this, except you left out the transgressions on the other side of your pot/kettle narrative (aka the Real World). What all of you fail to recognize is that I am not out to defend anyone, but rather to keep saying that if all you have is a version of Lennon’s “Imagine” to combat your interpretation of the forces of evil you are DOA and the hard-core realworlders will cut through you like a hot knife through butter. To attempt to apply never-land ideals onto this planet will leave you with the famous last words “Well, at least I tried to make a difference”, which – in the objective vs subjective reality that makes this world tick – boils down to a self-serving delusion. The only way you are ever going to make a difference is to approach real world problems with real world solutions, a distinction that few appear to be able to make in this populist culture. ;)

Your Hasbara colors are glowing red-hot … Sprinkling in “racist toot”, “idealistic clap-trap”, “glad handing, empty slogans”, “la la land idealism” and even “Lucy” are dead giveaways. “WC”, or whoever you are, you asked Abe “Where’s your plan for the Real World”, evidencing a common Hasbara debate tactic of attacking any man or woman in comments sections critical of Israel apartheid. So, big man, where’s YOUR plan for the real world? Surely one so critical and derogatory toward others for not having a plan must have developed one – right “WC”? Come on! … Everyone here is breathlessly awaiting to hear WC’s unprecedented world-changing plan!

            November 27, 2017 at 06:42

Joe. If I am to take you at your words here it is not my intent to stifle your idealism. There is always a place for something to “Imagine”, just so long as it is not taken too seriously. The odds of getting to that level of consciousness and consensus at this point in time are between slim and none. The real killer here is that everything you are saying is absolutely right. Ideally, this is the way things should be. But they are not and never have been. And sitting in an ivory tower and refusing to budge from your demands – regardless of how right they may be – will get you nowhere with the powers that be and the only satisfaction you will get in the end is martyring out like the millions before you. Conversely, if you actually want to get a foothold on what you are shooting for will probably require getting your hands dirty. ;)

WC, thanks for the advice, and your brilliant assumption that my hands are clean. Also, as I sit in my ivory tower it is apparent that your type of pragmatism is what is destroying everything that is beautiful, or at least could have been. It’s probably better for those such as myself, because when we do decide to come down and get our hands dirty it will be quite an ugly job to clean up the mess you pragmatic doers have left us. I’ll take back the comment I made, that ‘you no doubt mean well’, because now I can see you are here to just rattle my chain. Joe

            November 27, 2017 at 20:57

Joe. Clearly I have touched a nerve. If this is in some way connected with my questioning the effectiveness of your being a social justice warrior, sorry, but I did offer some condolences by agreeing with your overall premise and saying that you are absolutely right, just not applicable to this world at this point in time. What more do you want? Or is this an exercise in demonstrating your prowess to the regulars on this site? Meanwhile, the status quo is playing the so-called progressive left like a fiddle. Chris Hedges has got this figured out, if you read his Truthdig columns. But his wish-list for social change falls into the same ivory tower category, hence rendering it unrealistic and easily dismissed.

So no. You are not being effective, let alone getting your hands dirty. The ideology you follow that sees this world through rose colored glasses is seriously outclassed by the ruling elite. As strange as it my seem, your ideology also establishes rules to follow, whereas your opposition has none. Add to that, liberalism sells best in a good times economy when people are feeling safe and secure enough to dabble in the claptrap. Come the inevitable bust the support you believe you have will dwindle down to a few diehards which the status quo will pick off as easily as swatting flies. As for the world in general, problems in the middle east and elsewhere will no doubt be solved with the same old methods and there will be winners and losers. If you and the rest of the dreamers want any say at all after the smoke has cleared, you are going to have to figure out a different way to play in the mud that makes up this world. If that level of truth hurts, your new-found hostility toward me is misdirected. :)

I’m not going to submit to you with any resume of my pass endeavors along with my failures listed amongst my successes, because you mean nothing to me. You may feel superior, but there again you don’t know me, nor where for I have been, and in the end who really cares anyway?

Conventional Hasbara (pro-Israel, pro-Zionist) propaganda troll “WC” and the Hasbara troll army really started to swarm and puke when Israel’s Stall-Forever ‘Peace’ Plan (September 23, 2017) came under serious scrutiny at CN.

Hasbara propaganda trolls like “WC” just can’t understand why all those pesky “haters” have to mention Israel’s constant military threats against neighboring nations (Lebanon, Syria, Iran), illegal Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territory, Zionist claims of an “unconditional land grant covenant” for Israel, Israeli support for terrorism in Syria and Iraq, and the workings of the Israel Lobby.

Poor “WC” keeps coming more and more “unglued”, desperately trying to state and phrase things in a way that suggest that he’s really not just another “poor Zionist schmuck”.

For more propaganda projectile vomiting from “WC” see the comments at https://consortiumnews.com/2017/10/10/russia-gate-jumps-the-shark/

As noted, Israeli Hasbara propaganda is probably the most widespread and ambitious state-run propaganda effort in the world.

Hasbara is a form of propaganda mostly aimed at a foreign audience, primarily in western countries, particularly in the United States.

Hasbara aims to influence the conversation in a way that positively portrays Israeli political moves and policies, including actions undertaken by Israel in the past. Often, Hasbara efforts includes a negative portrayal of the Arabs and especially of Palestinians.

The use of the Hebrew term Hasbara in a critical context is necessary, because Hasbara efforts are wider and their goals much more ambitious than any similar propaganda activities taken by all democracies and most non-democracies.

Hasbara targets political elites, opinion makers and the public simultaneously; it includes traditional advocacy efforts as well as more general appeals made through mass media, and it is carried out by government agencies, non-governmental organizations, lobbying groups, private citizens, students, journalists and bloggers.

The Israeli government encourages all citizens to actively engage in Hasbara. Recently, it even distributed brochures with talking points to all Israelis traveling abroad. Israelis are asked to engage in politically-oriented conversations with their hosts and contacts abroad.

Until a few years ago, the main government agency carrying out Hasbara work was the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Media and Hasbara department. Under Ehud Olmert’s government, and more so under Netanyahu’s, there was a considerable increase in Hasbara efforts.

Prime Minister Netanyahu launched a Hasbara Ministry headed by a government minister. The Hasbara Ministry includes a situation room, which operates in five languages, and a new-media team that can reach, according to its website, over a hundred thousand volunteers on social media networks, as well as many bloggers.

In addition to the Hasbara Ministry, Israel has a Hasbara branch in the Prime Minister’s Office (in charge of both local and international PR). The IDF Spokesperson has an international arm with a new media branch, which makes Hasbara efforts and does not limit itself to providing information on army activities.

Under Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli Foreign Ministry was instructed to take a bigger role in the Hasbara effort.

Numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and agencies have moved into greater involvement in Hasbara. Perhaps the most notable is The Jewish Agency, which used to serve as a liaison to Jewish communities abroad, and now trains its envoys to American campuses to engage in propaganda.

Under Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli Foreign Ministry was instructed to take a bigger role in the Hasbara effort (a popular rant against the foreign ministry for many years was that it deals with peacemaking instead of advocacy, and Lieberman has promised to solve that). I was contacted awhile ago by a private agency that won a contract with the foreign ministry; they were looking for professionals to play hostile journalists in simulations with Israeli diplomats.

Much of the Hasbara work carried out outside official channels – but with heavy official influence – is carried out through non-governmental organizations such as “Stand With Us”, “The Israel Project” and more. These organizations produce booklets, flyers, maps, “polls”, and spin news events in ways which are favorable to the Israeli government.

Hasbara propaganda organizations strive to influence “opinion-makers”: journalists and bloggers are flown on a regular basis to tours in Israel, accompanied by government officials, while Israeli representatives – former diplomats, journalists, soldiers and officers – are brought to give lectures at campuses, think-tanks, conferences and other public events around the world.

Organizations also try to influence the grassroots level by granting Hasbara fellowships to international students in Israel.

There is a sense of “Hasbara failure” in the Israeli public. Rants about the fact that Israel is misunderstood and complaints about the incompetence of those dealing with Hasbara are often heard in the Israeli Hasbara popular media.

Given the abject failure of Hasbara – actually a failure of Israeli policy on all levels – all the Israeli state has left is war.

Joe. I will admit to psychoanalyzing, but to misconstrue this as some sort of attack on you is not helping with the data. You are also confusing my confidence with feeling superior. That reaction on your part could be psychoanalyzed as somehow feeling threatened, which is not my intention at all. :)

As for Duff’s article, it’s always about the money. And your complaint is what? That Jews (or in your case Zionist Jews) have been clever enough to sit at the controlling end of the spigot? A better question would be what do they intend to do with it? When you have that figured out you can then develop a plan that may give you some say on the distribution. ;)

            betz55,
What WC fails to comprehend under his scenario of “It’s always been a dog-eat-dog World, so what are you going to do about it?”, is that “dog-eat-dog” implies that sometimes the dog that has eaten another dog, gets eaten itself. And you can bet your last nickel that when Karma finally kicks in and the Israeli Jews are having their property stolen and they are being treated like dirt, folks like WC will start complaining about injustice. And that is what the Zionists are arrogantly forgetting. No-one stays on top forever. We are actually doing the Zionists a favor by getting them to treat the Palestinians like their equals that they become some day

Being a Jew WC is not ethnicity, it is a religious sect. Yes many Jews are from the Middle East, but as Shlomo Sand, a great number are descendants of converts from the Caspian-Black Sea area, and others from wherever Jews have settled. So we can flush ethnicity down the WC.
Also as mentioned before, scholarly Arab historians refute the translation of Hebrew text into Greek and from original Arabic text (in same language family): Mizr did not mean Egypt (Al-Gipt or El-Gipt) but an area on the Yemen/Saudi border, and their chief was called Faraon (Pharaoh). No original historical Egyptian text ever calls Egypt’s king Pharaoh. And no Jewish nation was mentioned by Herodotus who transited the area around 450 BC. The Jews of Misr moved up along the Red sea and Levant when sail boats replaced the camel caravans they serviced.
Yes North Americans treated the native people here badly and we should be ashamed of that history. Some have made it through those barriers and done well, but it wasn’t easy. But in the 20th century what Zionists (not Jews – many have my admiration for standing up to principles) do to the Palestinians is absolutely intolerable.

        WC

Bottom line: Foreign Jews had the same right to Palestine as Irish Catholics and Mexican atheists, i.e., none whatsoever.

Zionism is racism. Zionism is theft. Zionism is fascism. Zionism is doomed.

Prophetic comments by five eminent Jews:
Then Secretary of State for India and the British cabinet’s only Jewish member, Lord Edwin Montagu’s response to Prime Minister Lloyd George following issuance of the illegal 1917 Balfour Declaration: “All my life I have been trying to get out of the ghetto. You want to force me back there.”

Henry Morgenthau Sr., renowned Jewish American and former U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, 1919: “Zionism is the most stupendous fallacy in Jewish history….The very fervour of my feeling for the oppressed of every race and every land, especially for the Jews, those of my own blood and faith, to whom I am bound by every tender tie, impels me to fight with all the greater force against this scheme, which my intelligence tells me can only lead them deeper into the mire of the past, while it professes to be leading them to the heights. Zionism is… a retrogression into the blackest error, and not progress toward the light.” (Quoted by Frank Epp, Whose Land is Palestine?, p. 261)

Asked to sign a petition supporting settlement of Jews in Palestine, Sigmund Freud declined: “I cannot…I do not think that Palestine could ever become a Jewish state….It would have seemed more sensible to me to establish a Jewish homeland on a less historically-burdened land….I can raise no sympathy at all for the misdirected piety which transforms a piece of a Herodian wall into a national relic, thereby offending the feelings of the natives.” (Letter to Dr. Chaim Koffler Keren HaYassod, Vienna: 2/26/30)

Albert Einstein, 1939: “There could be no greater calamity than a permanent discord between us and the Arab people…. Let us recall that in former times no people lived in greater friendship with us than the ancestors of these Arabs.”

Lessing J. Rosenwald, president of the American Council for Judaism, 1944: “The concept of a racial state – the Hitlerian concept- is repugnant to the civilized world, as witness the fearful global war in which we are involved. . . , I urge that we do nothing to set us back on the road to the past. To project at this time the creation of a Jewish state or commonwealth is to launch a singular innovation in world affairs which might well have incalculable consequences.”

David. Right now they are in control, and given their money and clout they are going to do whatever they have in mind to do. Racism is subjective, as is theft and fascism.

Given that I have no dog in this fight, I’m just watching the game. Personally, I think there is too much emphasis on this one issue and it is confusing the quest to figure out the bottom line. :)

Faced with the impact of the international BDS movement, exposure of Israeli interference in US and British elections and foreign policy, and growing opposition to yet another destructive war waged on behalf of Israel, Hasbara propaganda has shifted into overdrive to ensure that Americans do not vote with their wallets or their feet.

Thank you zendeviant for the encouraging article. I will add this to explain my nature, and that is that in a world of political compromise it should be someone’s duty to put forth an agenda which in many ways reaches beyond to what we all think to be achievable. That if we are to bargain down then well at least we set the bar a lot higher than it would have been set otherwise by the worldly pragmatist. If it were not for this imagined greatness, then we wouldn’t have 40 hour work weeks, and children would still be dying before the age of 10 from their hard laboring in the coal mines. So sometimes we purist dreamers do get to set the new standards. Joe

With regard to Israel, the US Congress is united. Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers often act in ways contrary to the interests of their own country, just to appease the Israeli government. This is no secret.

However, the real danger is that such laws go beyond the traditional blind allegiance to Israel – into a whole level of acquiesce, where the government punishes people and organizations for the choices they make, the values they hold dear or the mere inquiry of information about an issue that they may find compelling.

The ‘Israel Anti-Boycott Act’ and now this one ‘Anti-Semitism Awareness Act”, are the most egregious because they strike down the First Amendment, the very foundation of American democracy, by using America’s own lawmakers to carry out the terrible deed.

We are supposed to be protected by our First Amendment right to free speech and freedom of expression. We cannot allow Zionists, be they Democrats or Republicans, to abrogate our constitutional rights and further shield Israel from accountability.

Furthermore, every Congress member who signs onto this bill is sacrificing the rights of their own constituents and all Americans to the interests of a foreign government. This is the height of disloyalty – and a measure of just how much power AIPAC has. Every one of them should be removed from office.

Everyone is in a tizzy about Russia interference when Israel has interfered more in US politics than any other country?
Now, this? As a US citizen I’m going to be arrested for telling the truth about Israel? Oh hell no.

The robotic “join a winner” mishigas (nonsense) spewed by “Hillel” is Conventional Hasbara (overtly pro-Israel / pro-Zionist) propaganda boilerplate rhetoric.

Israel’s military and political leaders speak the language of violence, incitement and war virtually every day. The basic Hasbara tactic is to change the subject as quickly as possible, and by any means possible, and hope no one notices.

Back in 2009, “The Israel Project” published a propaganda manual titled “Global Language Dictionary”

        https://www.transcend.org/tms/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/sf-israel-projects-2009-global-language-dictionary.pdf

Written by Republican pollster and political strategist Frank Luntz, the Hasbara handbook of “The Israel Project” was labeled “Not for distribution or publication”.

The manual published by “The Israel Project” is a treasure trove of scripted propaganda canards. For example, page 96 of the manual recommends: “‘Defensive’ and ‘preventative’ are the words that best describe Israeli military action.”

Hasbara outlets produce scripted articles, write op-eds and make television appearances to disseminate pro-Israel propaganda.

Investigation of specific “comments” at CN reveals the web of connections between the Israeli government, major pro-Israel media organizations, and the activity of the Hasbara troll army online.

In 2009, Israel’s foreign ministry organized volunteers to add pro-Israeli commentary on news websites. In July 2009, it was announced that the Israeli Foreign Ministry would conduct “internet warfare” to spread a pro-Israel message on various websites.

The program has expanded to a real Hasbara troll army that promotes pro-Israel policies in the press and online media.

US/Israel-backed al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria advance the geopolitical goals of Israel, which include permanent annexation of Syria’s resource-rich Golan Heights area that Israel has occupied since 1967.

The illusion of a “threat” to Israel guarantees an ever greater cascade of military and economic aid supplied by slavishly pro-Israel politicians in the United States.

Hasbara propaganda additionally aims at promoting fake news and conspiracy theories to divert attention from an actual and very public conspiracy: the efforts of the Israel lobby to manipulate politics in the United States.

The basics of Hasbara propaganda are easy to identify: simplistic phrases, repeated over and over, designed to engage emotions rather than produce rational arguments, all shaped to fit into a narrative of good (Western-oriented Israel, the Middle East’s only true democracy) versus evil (Arab/Muslim terrorists who seek not only to destroy the Jewish state but kill all Jews).

To persuade Americans to accept this impoverished account of the conflict, Hasbara propaganda rewrites history, rejects international law and ignores the struggle over land and resources that is at the heart of the conflict.

Hasbara propaganda relies on public ignorance of basic facts about international law and the history of Zionist land grab efforts in Palestine.

Conventional Hasbara (overtly pro-Israel / pro-Zionist) propaganda works in tandem with Inverted Hasbara (false flag “anti-Israel” / “anti-Zionist” and fake “anti-Jewish” / “anti-Semitic”) propaganda in ever more desperate efforts to “defend Israel” with a firehose of falsehood.

The Hasbara troll army aim to deceive, distract, divert and disrupt discussion of Israel’s recent celebration of its illegal 50-year military occupation of the Palestinian territory it seized in the 1967 war, and Israeli collusion with terrorist forces operating in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq.

Israel now threatens to invade Lebanon and Syria, backed by its fellow terrorist-supporter, Saudi Arabia. So the Hasbara troll army is out in force.

NOTE OF MEETING HELD OF NEW COURT, ST. SWITHIN’S LANE
E.C. ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th, 1941, AT 2:30 PM (UK NATIONAL
      ARCHIVES)

(In red ink on top): “To be treated as most secret” Present:: Weizmann,(called
meeting), Ben-Gurion, three Rothschilds, other Zionist leaders such as
Selig Brodetsky, Simon Marks (of Marks & Spencer) and non-Zionist
industrialist Robert Wesley Cohen. [SeeThomas Suarez, STATE OF
TERROR” details pp.72-73 and fn p.352]

      From Suarez summary:

“…Weizmann’s ‘equality’ including the transfer of non-Jews out of the
      area…”

Suarez’ summary is of note. So too is his analysis of Zionist
plans, theoretical bases etc. from the beginning.

It is, it seems, no longer productive to “debate” theories
      of so-called “equality” or “anti-semitism”, so-called
lack of “discrimination” toward Arabs etc.It is all there and
documented. From day one as the current saying goes
      in the US.
