Slow Start to Crucial Fund Drive

From Editor Robert Parry: We only do three fund drives a year so as not to impose too much on our readers, but our most important drive comes at the end of each year, setting the parameters for our budget in the year ahead. So far, it’s off to a slow start although the impact of Consortiumnews’ journalism is at an all-time high.

Also remember that we pay our writers for their original articles. That means your donation not only helps pay the Web site’s bills but also enables our writers to continue to provide millions of readers around the world with valuable insights that otherwise might not exist.

So, please contribute what you can – and we will continue to keep up our end the bargain: Keeping watch on the political power-brokers and the mainstream media as we have done since 1995.

You can donate by credit card online (we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover), by PayPal (our PayPal account is named after our original email address, “[email protected]”), or by mailing a check to Consortium for Independent Journalism (CIJ); 2200 Wilson Blvd., Suite 102-231; Arlington VA 22201.

We also are registered with PayPal’s Giving Fund under the name Consortium for Independent Journalism. And, since we are a 501-c-3 non-profit, donations by American taxpayers may be tax-deductible.

And, we are offering a special thank-you gift for those who can give $125 or more – or if you set up a recurring monthly donation by credit card or PayPal.

You can receive a Consortiumnews’ tote bag and a signed copy of any one of my six books — Fooling America, Trick or Treason, Lost History, Secrecy & Privilege, Neck Deep, or America’s Stolen Narrative. After making your donation simply send an email to [email protected] and tell us which one of the six books you would like included in your tote bag. (Or you can send us a note by snail mail to the above mailing address.)

As always, thank you for your support.

Robert Parry

Robert Parry is a longtime investigative reporter who broke many of the Iran-Contra stories for the Associated Press and Newsweek in the 1980s. He founded Consortiumnews.com in 1995 to create an outlet for well-reported journalism that was being squeezed out of an increasingly trivialized U.S. news media.

I will not be donating at this time. Any dollars I have to donate will be going to Green Party U.S. I judge it is more important to put up an assault upon the Parties D and R, and claim presence upon the political field of contention, not tisk tisking on the sidelines. When that is accomplished, I can see my way to donating to this operation. $20 on Dec. 9th to the Greens (extra ten$ for the expressed proposition that a Green vote is a Trump vote. I am seeking the destruction of Team-D AND Team-R.)

    From the Naked Capitalism site:

This is Naked Capitalism’s special fundraiser, to fight a McCarthtyite attack against this site and 200 others by funding legal expenses and other site support.

Since Consortium News was tarred by the same dirty brush as them, this could be a reason to chip in a little extra here in case the Washington Post keeps up with its BS and needs to face a judge.

For those who aren’t already using Amazon Smile, I understand the charity of your choice gets about 1/2% of the purchase price. People setting that up for the first time might want to make this place their charity-of-choice. Hey, even a few cents here and there from many people can add up over time.

By the way, until somebody demonstrates otherwise, I’m going to continue to believe that propornot Russian Agent crap was the brainchild of Victora Nuland’s nazis in the Ukraine, Hillary’s neocons, or some combination.

I’m proudly donating $25. Do you hear that ProporNot and WaPo?

(I’d give more but student loans, you know.)
