Maerwydd is right. We need to hear more from Chomsky while he is still with us.

I was glad to hear his mention of talk radio. Normally the emphasis is on Fox News.

Here it is: toptalkradio.com – over 100 individuals. Check out the flashing red lights to see how many are currently online to misinform the Great American Public.

The Vietnam War was something that protesting youth could get traction on because it was an obvious threat to their lives. Financial Capitalism is much more insidious, hence the WTO and Occupy Wall Street protests petered out. The Fed is printing money like Weimar Germany but they have discovered a cheat. Instead of allowing the money to freely entire the economy and cause inflation of basic items, they give it to the banks who lend it out for ‘investment purposes’. This has caused a massive inflation of asset values. It allows rentiers (the 0.1%) to live rich lives for free, off the rest of us. These asset values sit like an iceberg over the rest of the economy. A collapse in confidence will provide the heat that melts the iceberg, so it must be avoided at all costs. Or alternatively, create a huge distraction. COVID has been an accidental one but they will need something else up their sleeves. And Biden is an old man. His courtiers will play to his vanity whilst the Clintonites maneuver towards another war behind his back. All for the greater glory of the military industrial complex – which will either make America great again or bust. It really is true that to understand America, just watch an old Western. The bad sheriff has just been run out of town. The Injuns are threatening. The townspeople hope for change. And then it turns out that the new sheriff’s brothers are all stagecoach robbers.

You should have done this in at least 2 parts, as Chomsky is strong on his game and we need to hear a LOT more of his voice. But a great convo nonetheless.

A refreshing discussion about the realities that most Americans will not or do not choose to believe. Mainly – that the US is the biggest terrorist organization in the world because it has instilled in its population, for the most part, that we are the Good Guys in the world and even when we do wrong, we are still right. Now, that’s exceptionalism !

Excited to hear Noam catalog all the terrorism and militarism of the Joe Biden administration over the next four years after he told people to vote for it.

Indeed. Chris urged people to vote Green (which I did as always).

The Department of Defense is really the Dept. of War.
